Can you handle the pressure? Rainbows

I started with white paper, embossed it with a 3-D Sizzix embossing folder, then with blending brushes I added the rainbow colors using Distress Oxide inks. The little unicorn stamp is from Stampabilities. I punched some butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch using some scraps of design paper from my work table. I added some wink of Stella over the unicorn to give it a little bit of a sparkle! I know lots of little girls who would love this card.

Inspired by...bouquets

It is always so fun to print out one of my Power Poppy images and take the time to color it. I really liked how this turned out, and I always love Marcella Hawley's incredible art. She has such fine details on her botanical things. This image was colored in alcohol markers. The sentiment is from Gina K designs stamped on a sticker from Tim Holtz. I used some design papers for the background and underlayer, and used a kraft card base.

Daring Cardmakers - Spots and stripes

I am making Easter cards at the present time, so I used these scraps I found on my work table to use as the background papers for this card. I mounted the design papers to a light green card base, then stamped this sentiment directly onto the design paper. This egg is a digital stamp from Power Poppy that I colored and fussy cut. It is colored with alcohol markers.

As You See It challenge 294 spring cleaning

I finally got some printed out digital stamps colored and found this perfect scrap of gingham in the pile on my work table. It went together rather nicely on a spring themed card to mail for Easter. This digital is by my favorite artist, Marcella Hawley (Power Poppy)  and was colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from an Idealogy sticker tablet from Tim Holtz. I used a light green card base for this.

Art Impression challenge - Green Galore

It feels like spring has sprung around in my part of Texas, so it seemed like a good idea to get out this wreath set from Art Impressions to use for their Green Galore challenge that is up this week. I stamped the wreath with Versafine clair black ink and colored it with various shades of Copic green markers. I used a piece of design paper for my background.  You can find the details for this challenge here:

Triple B Challenge Number 1

I made this card for the new Triple B challenge that just started this week. It was so exciting to find out about this challenge and to get started with it from the very beginning.  I used this beautiful slimline die from Crafter's Companion. The butterfly is from a favorite old set of mine from Our Daily Bread, colored with Copic markers and used a layer of wink of stella over it. The sentiment is from Gina K designs. I made it a birthday card staying with the B idea!! LOL

HMFMC 385

I am using this card for a few challenges this week. This week's challenge for the HMFMC is to use a die cut. So I used this cute image with a love word die. It also met the criteria for the Double Trouble challenge to use green and a plaid, the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge to use green, and the "go green" challenge for the Try it on Tuesday challenge.
I stamped the House Mouse image with a Versafine clair black pad, and colored the image with copic markers.  I used design papers mounted to black card base. I added the green enamel dots for embellishments and cut this Love die from Rubbernecker.

The challenges are all linked to their blog pages to find the details of the challenges and the links.

HMFMC383

My House Mouse stamps make some of the most adorable Valentines and making Valentines is one of my favorite cards to make. The option on the challenge for this current challenge at HMFMC is to doodle on the card. I added a doodled border to the top edge and bottom edge of the design papers I used.  I also free handed my sentiment that I consider a part of my doodling.  Wishing very one a very Happy Valentine's Day!!

Shop Your stash - Love is in the Air!

Valentines' Day is one of my favorite times of the year to make cards. Please browse my blog for all the ones I have been making already, and I am adding this one for a challenge for Shop Your Stash. Believe me I have quite a stash of papers, tools, and embellishments to make cards from now until eternity and everything that is on this card came from everything I had on hand. I guess I have to admit that after 20 years or more of paper crafting, that is kind of like going in a craft store with all the supplies and tools I have hoarded over those years. Here is the one I made with the theme "Love is in the Air." You can find the details of the challenge here:

You have a week left before the challenge is over, so go join in on the fun!!

Can you handle the pressure challenge - borders

I love my embossing folders and love finding new ways to use them. For the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge to emboss on the border, I embossed a panel to be my edge of the card, and cut this embossed image from an embossed glossy paper. I added it as the focal image of my card. The sentiment (a Tim Holtz ideaology strip) says Light the Way!  I love white on white cards especially for white on white cards.

This is for the Beyond Blue challenge to do a white on white card. I decided to make mine a Valentine (or it could be a wedding card). You can find the details for this challenge here:

Krafty Chicks - 648 all occasions

This masculine card could be used for various celebrations, but added the hearts for it to perhaps be a Valentine.  I am adding this to the Krafty Chicks #648 challenge this week as my all occasions card.
I also used it for an ABC challenge for H for hotwheels, and a challenge that had the criteria to be banners.  Trying hard to use up the hundreds of design papers I have in my stash! Loved the colors on this one and the words represented in it. The jeep is from Unity and the banner was made with a Stampabilities stamp.

House Mouse - Frame It

I just seem to have to reach for one of my little house mouse stamps every week for a stamping project because they are so darn cute and I know they delight anyone who receives a card with one of these precious images. I have been a huge fan for such a long time now. This week's card was made for this week's House Mouse Challenge with the option to use a frame. This die from Gina Marie Designs served as my frame, and the sentiments are from a Tim Holtz idea-logy sticker tablet. it has a row of xoxo and a sentiment that says "Do small things with great love."  I colored my image with copic makers. The card base is embossed with a Sizzix 3-D embossing folder and the embellishments are turquoise enamel dots.  You can see the details of the challenges and the great designs the design team made here at their challenge site:

Send a smile to a kid - Valentines

I made this cute Valentine for the Send a Smile for kids challenge. This month's theme is love and Valentines. I love making Valentines even more than I like making Christmas cards. Maybe because it comes in a month that is not quite as hectic as December is. This is a simple card made with some design paper scraps, one of my house mouse stamps from my fun collection, and a sentiment from Sweet and Sassy stamps. You can find the details of this challenge here:

CAS on Friday

This is my CAS on Friday card for the insect challenge. I used a dragonfly stencil from "A Colorful Life." The arches are from a part of another stencil from "A colorful life." The stamps are from Stampendous. The stenciling was done with distress oxide ink, The stamping was done with black Versafine Clair. This is a one layer card, and quick and easy card to make. That makes it a CAS in my book.
