IO challenge Summer Fun

This card  I  made for the Impression Obsession Summer Fun challenge. I purchased this digital from IO earlier this summer, and finally got to use it for the first time on this card. It was so fun especially when paired with these bright stripes of summer colors. I cut out the little flip flops from design paper. Flip flops and the beach are the best parts about summer for me!!

I colored this with Copic markers and then added sparkling gel pen over the sun, waves, and sand,

AI challenge and the Dirty Girls collide

I did this card for the current challenge on Art Impressions:

And also for one of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers..

I paper pieced the dress with some old Basic Grey design paper, and I paired it with Graphics 45 design paper for the pieces for the layout. I colored the image with Copic markers. I love the AI girls and I can always find one to fit almost any occasion needed.  Having just turned 70 on my August birthday, I can so identify with these fun seniors!!

CCEE2034

Here it is the day after my BIG birthday the BIG seven-o. So, in honor of National Senior Citizens Day on August 21st, let's use some adorable old women (or men) still having fun and enjoying life on your cards today. Have fun and send your card to one of your senior friends in honor of their day!!

I used an old background stamp from Stampin' Up for the diamond pattern in the background. And then I used my wonderful seasoned ladies featured in so many of my favorite Artistic Impressions.  Girls at any age still know how to have fun.

HMFMC321

I finally got my House Mouse challenge card done that I have wanted to make for the last 2 weeks. Now I  am rushing to meet the deadline. The twist on the challenge was to use a number. I decided to make this card for an adorable 3 year old, since the little mouse was juggling 3 peanuts.  You can find the House Mouse challenges here:

As You Like It challenge for the week

I made this card for the As You Like It challenge this week that can be found here:

http://asyoulikeitchallenge.blogspot.com/

I used a melon mambo as my bright pink and I matched it with the kiwi kiss (yellowish green) because it seems like a wonderful summer combo and love the brightness of them both. As a neutral with pink I love to use brown. It is not as contrasting as black and white is against it. .

Here's my card:

This set is from My Sentiment Exactly.  August 14th is International Rose Day, so the rose seemed like the perfect pink image to use for my card.

Cardz for Galz 123

I  made this card for the Cardz 4 Galz challenge:

Monochrome
Any ONE colour you wish or
Black and White

I used tan and white as my colors for this challenge. I used Unity stamps for this challenge and the background strips were stamped in versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the coffee cup in Distress Oxide frayed burlap and then water colored with the same ink color.

Holding you close to my heart

I made this card for the Just Add ink challenge which was a sketch challenge. I also am using it for the Mod Squad challenge this week to use at least 3 different design papers. All of the design papers are from Basic Grey, which I have hoarded for quite some time.  I put it together with kraft paper, and the flower is actually a piece of design paper that I stamped the image on.

From the garden

I am using this card for two CAS challenges this week and for the MIX 393 challenge on Splitcoaststampers. I grabbed up some older stamps I have not used in a while to make this card that follows the sketch challenge  for the CAS(e) this Sketch challenge, follows the theme of Nature for the CAS on Friday challenge, and the garden requirement for the mixed media challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

CCEE2032 Lighthouses

I am our hostess for August and I have lived most of her life near the Gulf of  Mexico and salt water seems to run in my veins.  August 7th is Lighthouse Day, so I am hoping you will  use a lighthouse in your card making and use a scripture or encouraging verse to add to it, hoping these words can light someone's way on their path of life.

I used a cloud stencil to make the clouds in the sky and a different stencil for the water, I added white gel pen lines in the clouds and in the waves. The silhouette stamp is from one of my favorites from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. I think the scripture is a Sweet and Sassy stamp too. I used various distress oxide inks for the sky and water, and I used versafine black for the silhouette and the scripture.  I hope you will join us over at CCEE stamps and check out our all the beautiful creations of the team here on our blogsite:  www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

My Beachy card

I made this card from scraps from my design paper scrap piles and making use of one of my favorite older stamp sets from one of my old favorite stamp companies, Flourishes. I used this today for an ABC challenge for the letter S since I used scraps, strips, seashells, sand dollar and stenciling. I also wanted to use it for the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge this week to use a beachy or ocean scene. Seashells are some of the treasures I enjoy from the ocean so I thought they would be perfect for this challenge.
You can find that challenge HERE:

Inkspirational photo challenge 218

This is my card for the Inkspiration card for this challenge:

August is a busy birthday month for me, so I needed to get my birthday stash fattened up. Loved these red and white polka dots, so used that as my inspiration. I used a stencil from A Colorful Life, and stamps from Unity,
