Color Throwdown Challenge #721

This is for the Color Throwdown  challenge this week. The image is a Power Poppy digital and I used copic markers to color the image. The background is done with Pine distress oxide ink. I stamped a few partial pine needles onto the smashed background. I did a little gold gilding to it as well.  You can find the details for the challenge here:

CCEE2247 Favorite Christmas card

                                                          Hi Crafty Friends

It is Maryann back again this month for the challenges, since it is so close to Christmas now is the time to build up your card stash.

Create a Favorite Christmas Card, any style that you like.

Now let's see what the designer team have created.

http://cceestampers.blogspot.com

I used a Sizzix die and a sentiment from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. The background was a pre-made card with the gold foiling already on it.

As a Christian, my favorite cards are always ones that tell of the reason for the season....the birth of Jesus Christ. The sentiment says, "Star of Wonder, Star of night, Guide us to thy perfect light."

May His peace and His love shine in your hearts this Christmas season and help bring His joy to the world.

Little Red Wagon challenge #682

The theme for the Little Red Wagon challenge is glitz, glitter, gleam, glow. I tried to go for it all. This has gold foiling on the background paper, golden snow flakes and a glimmering rhinestone in the center.  You can find the details for this challenge here:

Sorry to be late as I was gone for the week of Thanksgiving. Here is my card a little late.

I used a Stampin Up set. The sentiment is handwritten.  I used distress oxide inks.

The image dies are from Tim Holtz (Sizzix), the background stamp is from Rubbernnecker. I cannot remember the source for the JOY sentiment. The glow from the street light is from distress oxide yellow ink.

CCEE2245 Fun folds

                                         Hi Crafty Friends

It is Maryann here again with this weeks challenge.

Receiving cards is so much fun, a fun fold card with a wow factor gives so much joy to the recipient.

Create a card with more than a center fold. Think of a easel, pop-up, center step or shutter card.

Let's take a look at what the design team have created.

Fun and fancy folds are always the biggest challenges I ever have to overccome. I have been focused coffee themed challenge this week because of the big Coffee Lover's Blog Hop this week. These stamps are from Unity. I tried out my new TimHoltz distress water color pencils.Theywere lots of fun. I added a little bit of stenciling and splattered dots to the front. The stencil is from A Colorful Life.

AAA card challenge #228 and CAS716

I made this card for the AAA card challenge 228 which was to make  something along the edge using rainbow colors. So with a variety of distress colors I stenciled the edge using a new Colorful Life stencil I recently purchased. I added silver puffy stars in some of the shapes. The sentiment is from Gina Marie designs. You can find the details for this challenge here:

It also meets the criteria for the CAS challenge #716 over on Splitcoaststampers as well.

Tic Tac Toe187

I used the middle row down. Snow, my free item was gemstones, and blue. This is a wonderful background stamp from Impression Obsessions, and the snowman is from Rubbernecker. The sentiment is from a Sweet and Sassy digital. I love using digitals for sentiments because you can size them to the size that will best fit your card.

Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop

How exciting to see the Coffee Lovers'  Blog Hop starting today!!

I ran across this sentiment die in my die collection today, and decided I would pair it with this to go cup sent as a gift from a stamping friend. So here is a quick slimline card that I could enter in this fun event..

Make sure you get over to the site and check out the fun this week:

Thanksgiving card with sweet and sassy stencil and digital

I am taking a little break for a few days to participate in the Sweet and Sassy stampathon to help then celebrate their 15th birthday. I have enjoyed collecting stamps and stencils from them over the years and have recently started collecting digitals from there as well. Digitals are great for sentiments because you can size them the size you want and being stored on the computer is an easier place to find them and takes up less space for me. LOL
I used this brand new digital for fall being offered right now and I love coloring images so this one was really fun to work with I used my Sweet and Sassy crocheted doily stencil for the background by blending distress oxide inks for my stenciling. I colored the image with copic markers.

Join the sweet and sassy facebook page and you will find the details of the celebration there:.

As You Like It Challenge - non-traditional Christmas colors

I like using pink as a non-traditional color, and with this one I used this striped design paper to coordinate the light green and teal and red with it. These colors are fun and striking and grab attention of their own during a season when red and green dominate.  This card was made for the As You Like It challenge this week. You can find the details of the challenge here:

Cardz 4 Galz - watercolor background

I made this card using a watercolor background water coloring with distress oxide inks. The image is a digital from Power Poppy. I colored the image with copic markers.  I used a sparkle pen for the halo and the berries.

You can find the details of the challenge here:

Christmas Kickstart #67 Trees, trees, trees

Been busy all day making Christmas cards. This one is for the Christmas Kickstart challenge #67 with the theme being Trees, Trees, trees!  I used a few different die cuts on this one. One of them included the embossing folder with the die built in.  You can find the details of this challenge here:

Krafty Chicks 637 Christmas

'Tis the season to get going on those Christmas cards, and I love finding these Christmas card challenges to give me the motivation I need to get going. I have a huge collection of die cut sets and so many of them are for the Christmas and winter season, so I made use of some of them for this card that I made for the Krafty Chicks Challenge #637. I have teasingly given myself the challenge to make use of  every Christmas die I have to make my cards this year. It would be an awesome goal for me, and it would be a fun way to create with different ones coming together for a card. I might also add here that I guess I am somewhat ADHD when it comes to card making because I never want to make any two alike. The fun is in the creative part for me, not always the perfection of the product.

CCEE2244 - Silhouettes

It's Maryann back with this weeks challenge.

I love the simplicity of the a Silhouette, a lot of companies have them whether they are stamps or dies.

Create a card with a beautiful Silhouette, it can be in a scene or a standalone image.

Now lets look at the creations from the design team.

http://www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

Here is my card for this week:

I stenciled the background with a stencil from A Colorful Life using blue distress oxide inks. The stamp set is from Sweet and Sassy.. The ground was made with black torn paper. I used some small rhinestones as stars. I have been working on Christmas cards all week so used this theme for one of them.

Try It on Tuesday - Sparkles and Shines

I made this card for the Try It on Tuesday Challenge to use Sparkle and Shine. The sky was done with A Colorful Life stencil and distress oxide inks. The largest star I left white and then colored it in with sparkle gel pen, The stamps are from Sweet and Sassy. I am making a Christmas themed card with every challenge card I make for the next couple of weeks to get my Christmas stash built up and ready to send.  You can find the details for this challenge here below:

Passon for Markers - digital challenge

This card I made from scraps left over from other projects and a digital from Power Poppy that I had colored last night to possibly use today for a project. So this turned out to be the project. I colored it with copic markers. I have as my goal to make it a Christmas theme for every challenge I am taking part in this week,
Here are the details for the Passion for markers challenge this week #666:

Retro challenge - Ombre

I love my 3-D embossing folders and inking them with distress shades of aqua seemed like a perfect way to do it. Since Christmas is quickly approaching, I wanted to make a Christmas card theme to add the the stash I need to be creating. After inking up the inside of my embossing folder, I ran it through my embossing machine. I used this cute snowman image from Rubbernecker and colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Unity and I punched it out with a Stampin' Up punch.

International Art and Soul Challenge #146 - Christmas

So happy to be finding some Christmas challenges starting as it is time to get going on my card making that I do for Christmas every year. I make about 100 cards a year all during the year to keep up the count, and I very seldom make the same design twice. Here is one I designed this morning after being iinspired by a similar design I saw on the internet earlier this morning. I made it with kraft paper, design paper, and scraps. I used a heart die and a Christmas greenery die cut set from Momenta.
I will be contributing this card to the downloads for the challenge on International Art and Soul challenge where you can find the details of the challenge here:

Crafty Hazelnut Christmas challenge - H is for Holy Family

I made this card for the  Crafty Hazelnut Christmas Challenge to use some thing that starts with H so I used the Holy family and their Halos. I used a piece of white paper that was embossed with a 3D embossing folder from Sizzix. Then I stenciled over it with my brand new star stencil from A Colorful Life, using blue distress oxide ink. I really love the way it turned out.  I used silver chrome paper and black cardstock for the die.

Details for this challenge can be found here:

CTD717

I used the Color Throwdown colors for this card today. I am trying to make a Christmas card with every challenge I am doing to get some of my Christmas cards done.

I used a Sizzix die for the poinsetttia to make a stencil. I used a stencil from Gina Marie for the swirly lines. I stamped the sentiment and added a little gold washi tape as my only embellishment.

CCEE2243 Walk your dog week

 Hi Crafty Friends

It's a brand new month with means it is time for a new hostess. It is Maryann here and I will be your hostess of the next few weeks.

According to the days of the year calendar, it is walk your dog week. Walk you dog week is a week holiday dedicated to bringing your dog a healthier lifestyle. Make a card with your furry friend in mind.

My son has a labradoodle so I colored this Mo Manning digital for my dog image. It is colored with copic markers. I used a Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy sentiment that says: "I meant to behave, but there were too many other options."

Check out the team cards here on the CCEE blog:

http://www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

Fab N' Funky - Shades of Blue

Checking out the weekly challenges to see which ones can be Christmas cards. The Fab n' Funky challenge this week is to use shades of blue. So this design paper seemed to meet the challenge. I added these Spellbinder and Sizzix dies to complete the card. I added some gold chrome paper just to add to the gold foil on the paper. You can find the details of the challenge here:
