Use Your Stuff 489

This is one of my newest stamps set designed by Gina K. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh. I colored the three blossoms with copic markers and then used colored pencils for highlights on the image. The background was done with a background stamp from Impression Obsessions and a stencil from Gina K. I used green distressed oxide inks for this. I used versafine clair black for the sentiment.

I made this card for the Use Your Stuff Challenge - 3 items in one cluster. You can find the details for this challenge here:

Crazy is my game, Stenciling is my game July challenge

Having lots of fun with a few challenges and making use of this terrific stencil from A Colorful Life.
The stamps I used are from Unity. I stenciled the background with yellow distressed oxide ink, then shifted the stencil and used orange distressed oxide ink, and the last shifting I used a light tan distressed oxide ink. I stamped my image and sentiment with versafine clair black ink. I colored my cake image with Copic markers. The final touch were the punched flowers and yellow enamel dots. August is a busy birthday month for me, so it's good to be building my birthday card stash!

BYSH Cardmakers Linky Party 2023

I discovered this old 2000 Stampin' Up stamp at my parents' house this weekend and decided to give it a little love. I robbed some pretty design paper scraps from my sister, Lynn and was able to create this stamp while I am away from my own stamp room. My friends Holly and Kia informed me about this Linky Party starting this week so I got so excited. You can find the information about it here on their blog: https://byshcardmakers.blogspot.com/2023/07/christmas-in-july-2023-byshc-linky-party.html

Just Us Girls #686 Pastels

I made this card for the Just Us Girls Pastel Challenge this week.
The sentiment is from Impression Obsession, I stamped the script SU background stamp onto the embossing folder inside over the distress oxide ink. The embossing folder is from Sizzix. The flower die is from Momenta and I colored it with Copic markers.

Can You Handle the Pressure? Challenge - butterflies

I used a Sizzix embossing folder  to emboss this design paper then I inked the back of the front panel of the folder with blue distress oxide ink and ran it back through my machine. I added the butterflies and the die cut sentiment.  You can find the details of this week's Can You Handle the Pressure? Challenge here: https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/06/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

Shop Our Stash #500 celebrating by numbers

I was cleaning up my stamping room and was emptying my trash and I found this unmounted red rubber candle stamp in my trash can. Not sure what box or basket it was end that I had emptied into the trash and have no idea where I got it or what company made it. I love it and am glad it came to surface before I went out with the trash. I used my distress oxide inks for the candles and versafine clair black ink for th sentiment (an old set I have hardly used that got to see a little love today.) I punched out the flowers from leftover scraps and the numbers are chipboard ones that I have had hoarded for any time I needed numbers on a card. I made this a slimline so I could get 20 candles on the card for my grand daughter who is turning 20 on her next birthday!

Double Trouble - Christmas in July with stars and stripes

This week I am catching up with some of my Christmas card making so I will have most of them done before December gets here. This card was made for the Double Trouble challenges this week to make a Christmas card and to use stars and stripes. I used some scraps that were lying around on my work desk, then I found the design paper for the star with the gold stripes and the design paper for the background that had gold stars all over it. The star is a die from Gina Marie designs as is the Holy Family die. The holly is a Sizzix die that I cut from plaid paper and colored over with a Copic marker. The red berries are small red rhinestones and the smaller gold star is a rhinestone as well.
You can find the details for both the Double Trouble challenge and the Jingle Belle challenge here:

Happy 74th, sweet Larry!

Today is my brother in law's 74th birthday who is now celebrating in glory land with all the saints. And they are reminding us to shine like the stars no matter which side of heaven we are on!! We lost you way to soon, Larry, but Lynn and I love our daily visits of blue jays that remind us of just how near you still are to us.

I am entering this card in the Cupcake challenge and the details can be found here:
