Little Red Wagon - Use That Stash 805

"Using your stash" is the theme this week over at Little Red Wagon. I used the scraps of paper left on my work table as a starting point for this card. I love this stamp from Unity Stamps. It seem to fit really well with this paper. I embossed the gray cardstock that was already cut and ready to decorate from my stash of card bases. I embossed the card and then wiped pale pink ink over the raised hearts to give them more of  a pop.

Paper Players challenge #735

I used a design paper from my stash, I stenciled a faint pattern on my pink strip, die cut my leaves and flowers from some Sizzix dies for my "any shape." I added gemstones for the center of my flower as extra embellishment. The stencil I used is from Creative Worship stamps and the sentiment stamped in versafine clair black ink is from Stampendous.

Handstamped sentiment Inspiration challenge #462

I made this card for the Handstamped Sentiment Inspired Challenge #462. My inspirations were the tulips in pink and the colors used in the beach bag. The tulip stamp I used is from Unity stamps as is the sentiment. I found this pretty design paper in my stash and tore a pink piece of cardstock from my stash for the accent panel.

As you see it challenge #346

The challenge :

I don't know what this tool is even callled, so I took a picture of it in with my card that I used it on. It blows out air for alcohol and reinkers to make this runny look with the ink. I used distress oxide reinkers for my ink, gold stencil paste for the good texture done using a stencil from Creative Worship stamps. The I added the black splatter dots with an old retired stamp that I will forever keep for a "go to" texturing stamp. The die is cut from gold chrome paper aad the die is from Taylor Expressions I think. The sentiment is from Gina K designs. I did this all on watercolor paper then mounted it to an turquoise card base.

Krafty Chicks 765

This is one of my newest stencils that just arrived from A Colorful Life Designs today. Thought it would make a great showroom display for this old classic Thunderbird. I used black ink for the stenciling and also for the stamping of the card. The car stamp is from one of my favorite retired Stampin' up sets and the sentiment is from Unity stamps. Does this not make the most impressive masculine car ever??
I am entering it into this week's Crafty Chicks challenge #765.  You can find the details for the challenge here:

Creative Knockouts Challenge #545 making use of 2 or more patterened papers

I found this Graphics 45 paper stash in my stamp room and designed to use a piece of it for my card. It is two sided so that makes my 2 different pattern papers. Since the girl is sipping from a cup, I decided to use this stamp from Unity for my main image. The sentimetnt is from Unity as well  stamped it with versafine clair black ink and colored it with Copic markers.
The detains of the challenge can be found here:

Just Us Girls Challenge 772 - stenciling

I just got this stencil in the mail today from my A Colorful Life design order. I used pink, light green, and light blue distress oxide inks for the stenciling. I used versafine clair black for the images and the sentiment that is from Creative Worship stamps. I outlined the petals with a white gel pen.

Caffeinated Christmas challange

Christmas is the perfect time to enjoy a cup of warm cheer just to slow down and take in the season apart from the hustlle and bustle the season usually brings. I love this Unity stamp with this lovely woman in her cozy warm sweater enjoying just that moment of peace and calm that can be found. I used this lovely die from Spellbinders and the holiday design paper from Paper Studio with a black card stock cardbase. The poinsettia embellishment is a pieced sticker from some scrapbook supplies. I stamped the image in versafine clair black ink, and colored the image with copic markers.

I've been playing catchup on some of my challenges and I am so sorry I have missed the dead lines on 3 of these I have posted onto my blog. Since they were made, I loaded them here on my blog anyway. ENJOY!

Jingle Belles Challenge - recycle

I did this card for the recycle challenge over on the Jingle Belles Challenge. You can find the details and linky here: https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2025/04/recycle-reuse-and-jingle.html

I took the red border off of an old card that never got sent one past Christmas, removed it from it's original card and added to this one. I added a quick Tim Holtz sentiment strip and this little wooden ornament that was used on a gift that I received.  Thought it made into a really cute card when it came together on a new card front and different design paper.

A Place to Start Challenge for April

I made this card for the Place to start challenge that the criteria was black, white, red. That is one of my favorites for color combos, so I stenciled my white paper with this black ink pattern (stencil from Impression Obsessions) . I used Versafine clair Black ink for the image and sentiment from Unity. I used black distressed ink for the stenciling. I tore some red paper strips to add for my red and added red gemstones to some of the centers of the pattern crosses.  You can find the linky and details for this challenge here:

Neglected Stuff Challenge

This card made use of a stencil that sadly has been sitting in the packaging for quite some time that I have never even used once. That is a sad state of neglect. So today it is making its great debut after lost and neglected in one of my stencil notebooks. I used distress oxide inks for the stenciling and versafine clair black for the image and sentiment and speckled dots. I used alcohol markers for coloring the image and a white colored pencil to add the light reflections of the vase. The sentiment resurfaced last week from one of my old Flourish sets.  You can find the details of this challenge here:

Color Throw down #831

Cupcake inspiration challenge #615

I  stenciled over a sheet of design paper with orange distressed oxide ink. I stamped the bird from Unity onto pink paper and cut out with a circle die. I colored the eyes with a white gel pen, after I stamped the image with versafine clair black. The image was colored with copic markers. The flowers were punched from orange design paper scraps and added as embellishment with gold glittered enamel dots for the flower centers The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's snarky senitment stripes. I used a piece of orange design paper for a mat and used pink cardstock for the card base.

Too bad I missed the deadline!!!!

Sunday Stamps Challenge #358 and Shopping our Stash#545

I had such fun this month making Easter cards. I had ordered this fabulous paper from Impression Obsessions when they had their going out of business sales. I sure miss them. This was a perfect two-sided print to use for this layout. This is an old stamp when Michael's use to sell dollar stamps. It was stamped in purple distressed oxide ink. The sentiment was stamped in versafine clair black. The flower were punched with an SU flower punch. I used enamel dots for the flower centers. I am using this for the Sunday Stamp challenge which  was this sketch:

and also for the Shopping Your Stash challenge for the Hippity Hoppity theme for Easter. That challenge can be found here:

HMFMC438 - spring

Love this little house mouse in his "flower bed." I stamped the image with versafine clair black, colored the image with alcohol markers. I used the apricot paper as the card base, some orange design paper as the bottom layer, and stamped on white. I punched the borders  with a Martha Stewart punch, and then added the yellow band to help balance the picture. I mounted it closer to the left side of the orange and then added clear enamel dots to embellish the right side. These reminded me of droplets of water (with spring showers in mind as another spring event).

Inspired by....bunnies#331

I made this bunny card for the Inspired by challenge #331 and for the Free for All challenge today on Splitcoaststampers.  I stamped the 2 step stamp from American Crafts and used it as a dress for my bunny. I punched the head with a circle die, and I punched the ears with a heart punch and then cut it in half for the 2 ears. I free handed the legs and basket. I punched the eggs and butterfly with paper punches. My inspiration for the flower body came from the picture prompt from the Inspired by challenge that I shared here above. This is be used as an Easter card for one of the grandkids.
