 Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to our CCEE Stampers challenge blog. It's Frances here again with one last challenge for October.

For our challenge this week ... Create a Scene! For our challenge this week create a card that features a scene of some type… outside or inside.

Now  let's take a look at the cards our Design Team created for this challenge.

Check out their blogsite here:

http://cceestampers.blogspot.com

I used a fabulous Impression Obsession background stamp for the snow and sky, the snowman and boy are an old retired Stampin' Up set as is the sentiment. I am unsure of the source for the trees. The inks I used were distress oxide inks, versafine black, copic markers and white gel pen.

Jingle Bell challenge - Not a creature was stirring

Here is my card for the Jingle Bell Challenge this week that has the theme - Not a Creatrure was Stirring.
I used this cute Penny Black stamp with this cute pig and I used my new Impression Obsessions slimline background stamp for the background. The trees were cut with a Momenta die out of dark green paper..  The sentiment is from Paper Trey Inc. I used two shades of my distress oxide inks for the background and I used copic markers for the coloring of the pig image.

Here are the details for the Jingle Bell challenge:

The Daring Cardmakers - Make it pink

This card was made for the Daring Cardmakers - Wear it Pink challenge. I used a pink designer paper to stamp this image from Unity stamps. I colored the skin and hair with copic markers. The image and black sentiment and background was stamped with Versafine Black ink. The background pattern was stamped onto the pink paper using an old background stamp from Stampin' Up using hot pink ink.

TGIF339 Alcohol blending

I have not gotten my alcohol inks out in a while, so with the alcohol blend challenge going today for the TGIF 339 challenge, I decided to give it a go. This cat stamp is a new one I just got recently from Impression Obsessions and hadn't used yet. So I stamped it with versafine black ink on white paper and fussy cut it to use on this background that I did using Yupo paper. The butterflies were punched using colorful scraps with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  I mounted this on a black cardstock card base.
I am using this for the TGIF challenge and the Free for All Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.

Check the details out here:

TicTacToe 136

I love these kinds of Challenges and I really liked that it had a Christmas theme. I love getting my Christmas cards done ahead, so this card will help me add to my stash. I don't make the same card, I make about 100 unique ones. I used the line glitter, red, and green diagonal line on this grid. Here is my card:

The reindeer and the sentiment are dies cut in gold chrome paper. The glitter is the bold stripe on the smaller red strip of design paper. I loved how the large polka dots looked with the green and white striped dp. I am trying to branch out some this Christmas and am including some slimline cards to my mix.

C.R.A.F.T. challenge - Christmas

The challenge for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge was a Christmas challenge to use non-traditional colors. I had this digital from Power Poppy that I thought would look unique in some of these colors we don't usually think of at Christmas. I used Copic markers for the coloring media. For the background I used some distress oxide seedless preserves ink to stamp some pine needles from Unity. Then I water colored with a brush and water to soften the look. I added some pine needles using shimmery gel pen. It doesn't show up so well in the photo but looks great in real life. I die cut the sentiment with gold chrome paper.

CCEE2142 Numbers

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here again to bring you another challenge.

Number It .... Include a number or numbers on your creations this week. You can make an aged birthday card; number themed designer paper, number themed embossing folders or dies. Anything goes as long as there is a number somewhere!

Let's take a look at what our Design Team created this week.

Check out the CCEEstampers blogsite.

This is an image from Art Impressions. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I used some Tim Holtz  blackout idea-ology paper to emboss with the numbers and then I sanded off the black to reveal the kraft color underneath. I colored the image with copic markers. Inside I added the words:
"Afterall, it's just a number!" I mounted this onto a kraft card base.

Inkspirational Challenge 250

This was made for the Inkspirational challenge to make a card for a man or boy. I know a lot of men who love wildlife so I used this stamp from Repeated Impressions. The background is made from a Sizzix die (the radial one) and the circle is from Gina Marie. The sentiment s a Tim Holtz idea-o-logy sentiment tag that says "Never Stop Exploring." You can find the details of the challenge here:

JUGS606 color challenge

An alternative to the usual fall colors, I am using the colors yellow, green, and turquoise that are the Just Us Girls' challenge colors this week. You can find the details for this challenge here:

I wanted to keep it clean and simple so I did a partial stenciled background using a Gina Marie stencil. I don't know the source of the stamp, but I stamped it in versafine black and colored it with copic markers. The sentiment is from an old Stampin; Up fall set.

Let's take a look at the inspiration from our Design Team ...

CCEEstampers blog

I used two of my new Picket Fence stencils for this and the sentiment is also from Picket Fence.
I used various fall colors of distress oxide inks for the stenciling and versafine black for the sentiment.
This was a quick and easy and I love this size.

CAS Christmas - grey and red

I made this card for the grey and red color challenge that is happening this week over on the CAS Christmas challenge that can be found here:

I used stamps from Impression Obsessions and a sentiment stamp from an old retired Stampin' Up set.
I stamped the ribbon stamp with versafine black, and colored it with copic markers. The trees were done with distress oxide ink. The sentiment is stamped over them in versafine black. This ribbon stamp is a great surprise I found in my grab bag I had ordered from IO. It looks like the real thing and will be great making easy to mail, flat cards for this Christmas season.

I'm Dreaming off a Pink Christmas

I love using pink for at least a few of my Christmas cards each year, and I love working ahead in getting my Christmas cards made, so here is the card I made today to enter the Jingle Bell Christmas card challenge this week.  The challenge is to use pink, I love these design papers I found in my stash, and I thought a pink beetle bug  would be adorable so I used this Unity stamp. The sentiment is an old one in my collection from Stampin' Up, The big tree is a die cut.

You can find all the details for this fun challenge here:

Art Impressions Slimline card challenge

CCEE2140 Balloons

  Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our CCEE Stampers Challenge blog, being a brand new month it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for the month, which is me ... Frances Byrne.

Apparently 5th October was Balloons Around The World Day, for our challenge this week include a balloon or balloons on your card.

Now let's take a look at what our Design Team created this week ....

All the stamps I used are from Unity. I stenciled the clouds and watercolored the image using distress oxide inks.

Freshly Made Challenge 506

What a fun sketch challenge this is for the challenge over at Freshly Made challenges this week! You can find the details for this challenge here:

I used stamps for the stripes from Unity and the main image is from Penny Black. I have a sister in law that has a thing for pigs so this will be a Christmas card for her.
The dies are from Gina Marie. The snow is glitter from Martha Stewart.

I thought these colors might be great on a slimline card this week. The flower image is a digital from Unity, and the sentiment is from Bo Bunny. The design papers are Paper Studio.. I colored the image with copic markers.

Mod Squad challenge - Pumkins, pumpkins everywhere

I love October because I love orange and the colors of fall and pumpkins are all over the place. I watercolored this pumpkin that has been in my stamp collection so long that I don't even know the source of it. It is a red rubber image onn a a cling foam backing and was not mounted on wood. I stamped it onto water color paper, used water colors to paint it and a retired SU stamp for the sentiment. I have been a stamper for over 20 years, so many of my seasonal stamps I have saved over the years.  Onee of the design papers is from Graphics 45. I still do cutting the old fashion way on many of my stamped images so this is fussy cut!! It was so fun to make this for the Mod Squad challennge this week and you can find all the details here:

The texture for the ground, the silhouette stamp and the sentiment are all from Impression Obsessions. You can find the details for the Just Add Ink challenge here:
