Tuesday Morning Sketch 745

I quarter turned this sketch for my card. I used a stamp from Unity Stamps for the verse and used espresso distressed oxide ink. The plaid paper is design paper from my scrap pile. I used a Sizzix oval die and a Sizzix flower die with Sizzix leaves die as well. The centers of the flowers are pearl embellishments. I thought this would make a great Easter card for the upcoming season.

Allsort Challenge 768

I made this card for the Allsorts challenge 768. The criteria was to use shades of pink. I inked the inside of a 3_D embossing folder with pink distress oxide ink,  and then pressed my white cardstock between it. I really loved the look I achieved by that. The floral digital is from Power Poppy and is colored with copic alcohol markers. The sentiment is from Unity stamps and was stamped in versafine clair black ink. I mounted thiis front onto a pink cardstock base. I added a few pearls as embellishment.

You can find the details of the Allsorts challenge here where you can also find the linky to play along:

Celebrating International Women's Day - Festive Friday challenge

My supportive sentiment for this challenge for the International Women's Day is "She is brave."
I also used pink, blue, and embossing.  I did use florals pieces although I would not call this a bouquet. I inked the inside of my embossing folder to get this lovely background. Those 3-D embossing folders are amazing! This one is from Sizzix.

Valentine challenges

Hearts and love seem to be the main theme this week before Valentines' Day, so this card fits the theme for at least 3 challenges for me:

I used double sided design papers to try the double twisted ribbon technique, punched out 3 paper hearts and stamped small sentiments on each one. I added flower sequins to each heart and small punched leaves.

As You Like It - Digitals

I made this card for the As You Like It challenge and although I have a wonderful collection of stamps of various types, I do love the digitals I have collected on my computer. The storage is easier, and having the option to change the size is a definite advantage that makes it a favorite of mine.  This image is a digital from Sweet and Sassy Designs.I colored it with copic markers. I added a Santa cap sticker for one of my embellishments. I am getting ahead on my Christmas cards by making them throughout the year.  You can find the details of the challenge here:

Paper Players 675

On my last order from Unity Stamps these papers and butterfly were included as a thank you gift. I made these cards with all the things they included in that little precious brown bag. It even included the card base and envelope.. They only thing I added was the the stamping to the tag (which was included), the washi tape from my stash, and a stash of ribbon in my craft pile. Thanks, Unity for supplying the material for this card. I am using it for the "Into the one I love" theme going on over at Paper Players this week. You can find their link HERE
