DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 292 "Valentine"

Here's my Valentine card for the DL Art thankful Thursday challenge #292.
You can find the details here:

I used white cardstock for the base. I used pink and gold chrome paper for the die cutting and red cardstock for the letters.  Hope you like the design!

Tic Tac Toe 146 - pink, heart, white

Tic Tac Toe challenges are always fun. I used the pink, heart, and white row for my elements. I used white paper, pink foil paper, design paper, and pink cardstock to make this card. I used dies, and a Unity floral image, and an old Stampin' Up sentiment. I colored the image with copic markers.

Krafty Chicks 596 All Occasions

I have been in need of many sympathy cards lately so I thought I would make a few before I need them. So I am entering this card for the Krafty Chicks All Occasions. I used stamps from Stampin' Up, Impression Obsessions, and Hero Arts. This is a nice flat card very easy to mail. I used distress Oxide ink for the back ground and to stamp the leaves. I used Versafine Claire back ink for the stamping of the rose, and sentiments and script backgound. I colored the rose with copic markers.

MOD Squad - Valentines' Day

I did this card for the Mod Squad challenge this week to make a Valentines' Day card.

You can find the details for the challenge here:

https://modsquadchallenge.com/valentines-day-card/

I used a Gina Kay stencil and old barn distress oxide ink for the stenciling. I am using some letters from my stash. The adhesive that was on the back would not peel away from the packaging so I had to glue them on. I added a few pink gemstones to accent it. This was a simple but fun card to make.

CCEE2203 Punch clock Day

Today is Punch the Clock Day.  Put something time-related on your card (a clock, a watch, a calendar, etc.)  If you don't have any of those things, make a birthday card -- that's time-related!

I used a C.S. Lewis quote on my card that is on a stamp from Unity. My alarm clock is a die from Spellbinder. I found some design paper that had clocks on it and framed the card with gold chrome cardstock.
Go over the the CCEEStampers blogsite to see the other cards design team found here:

The Card Concept 167

I love warm beverages in the winter, so this inspiration photo grabbed my attention right away. I used a stencil from Rubbernecker for my background. After inking it for another card, I decided to make this background by rubbing the color left on the stencil onto another white piece of paper to make this lighter background than the one I created when I used the stencil in the regular way. I really liked the way it turned out. I used a stamp from Unity and a Love die from Impression Obsession. I paper pieced the heart that was on the cup with some design paper to pick up the red that was on the inspiration piece.

CCEE2202 - Penguin Awareness Day

It's Penguin Awareness Day.  Put a penguin or two on your card. Fortunately, the most snow I ever see in the winter is on my winter cards, which I really enjoy making. I used a piece of buffalo print as my card's background. I did some torn white paper for the snow on the ground, die cut some trees and added this cute penguin sticker on beside them. I stamped the sentiment that is from Unity. I added some white snow flakes with a white gel pen. For a little sparkle I added silver sequins. On the snow I rubbed some white frost Metallic Lustre onto the snow using my finger to pat it on.

Make sure to check all the cute penguins on display on the other designers cards over on the CCEEStampers blog found here:

Just Us Girls 615 color week

This pretty color challenge is what is up this week at Just Us Girls. You can find the details here:

The stamps I used are from Unity. I loved looking for these terrific colors in my stash of design paper scraps.

Crafty Catz #578 Plaids

I love plaid papers and since using plaid paper was the challenge for the Crafty Catz Challenge #578 this week I made this card. The image is a digital from Power Poppy. I used a Gina Marie oval die t cut around it and I used a Spellbinder die for the other one used. The little sentiment is one of those bargain stamps that Michael's use to sell.

Little Red Wagon challenge #636

I made this card for the Little Red Wagon #636 challenge to use patterned paper. I always love having a good reason to use up papers from my scrap pile.

Trying to meet my January quota for Christmas 2022

Darn I hate when I don't meet the deadline date for a challenge. But I am glad to have a Christmas card added to my stash. It's fun to get an idea for a sketch  to use to motivate myself to stay on a schedule with my Christmas cards so that I have most of them done before December gets here.

CCEE2201 Happy New Year - New

Hi, it's Lois, as our first hostess for our 2022 challenges here wishing you a Happy New Year.  It's a brand-new year, so use something brand-new or something you've never used before on your card.  It could be a stamp, a die, or even a new technique.

This is a new die for me. It is from Momenta and creates this beautiful winter scene. I never see snow in the winter where I live. All my 71 years, I have only seen snow here where I live less than 10 times probably. It never lasts long and we all go nuts when we have a light coat of it in our yards.  So, for me these are only paper scenes or ones in my dreams. May your new year bring you new experiences and new adventures. And may our "new" normal include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Just Us Girls #614

This card is my first attempt to use Dylusions spray ink on a stencil. The stencil is from /Gina K  which is the flourished one. The other stencil is from Gina Marie and I blended distress oxide ink over the stencil for this. Then I cut this die cut set from Momenta in white and I colored it with copic markers. I mounted it on purple cardstock.

The challenge this week was Trend for Just Us Girls and the requirement was to use inked or sprayed backgrounds. I combined the two.
