Can You Handle the Pressure challenge - Christmas

I love embossing on design papers and decided to give it a try with this grid plaid. I mounted it onto a white card base. The die cut is from Spellbinder and done using pink glittery cardstock. The poinsettia is a Power Poppy digital that I sized and colored with copic markers. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.  Embossing is one of my favorite techniques to use so I love taking part in the Can You Handle the Pressure challenges. This week the theme is Christmas and this worked right into my holiday making schedule. You can find the linky and details for the Can You Handle the Pressure here:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 694 non-traditional Christmas colors

I used distressed oxide inks for the background. Then I spritzed it with water to get the faded dots of color. I put this paper into a 3-D embossing folder by Sizzix. I mounted it onto bright pink card base. I used this two piece die set from Spellbinder as my main image of focus. I added the die cut leaves and flower punch as my embellishment and also two gemstones for the flower center and the star.  This card fits the criteria for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge this week to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colors. It is so good to be getting some Christmas cards done ahead of time before the rush is on!!

Tic Tac Toe challenge 192

My card is for the Tic Tac Toe challenge above. I did the vellum, heart, embossing row.
I embossed the vellum with a Sizzix 3-D embossing folder, a die cut heart using a Gina Marie die, and punched flowers using some Martha Stewart flower and leaf punch. Tiny rhinestones were used for embellishments.

C.R.A.F.T. non-traditional Christmas colors

Trying to get a few early Christmas cards made ahead of time. This one I did for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge using non-traditional colors.

Check here for the details of the challenge:

I used a Sizzix die for the holly, and I used a 3-D embossing folder from Sizzix as well for the texture used for the card front. I colored this with distress oxide inks and copic markers. I added a ribbon and a die cut sentiment from Sizzix for the sentiment made of pink chrome cardstock.

Christmas Throwdown Challenge

My silver chrome card stock was difficult to photograph but I used a 3-D embossing folder from Sizzix for the card base of this Christmas card that I am entering in the Christmas Throwdown challenge this week.I used a 3 -d embossing folder/die for the poinsettia, and die cut the leaves. The sentiment is from Unity. I used a silver metallic pen to make the center of the poinsettia.

CCEE2201 Happy New Year - New

Hi, it's Lois, as our first hostess for our 2022 challenges here wishing you a Happy New Year.  It's a brand-new year, so use something brand-new or something you've never used before on your card.  It could be a stamp, a die, or even a new technique.

This is a new die for me. It is from Momenta and creates this beautiful winter scene. I never see snow in the winter where I live. All my 71 years, I have only seen snow here where I live less than 10 times probably. It never lasts long and we all go nuts when we have a light coat of it in our yards.  So, for me these are only paper scenes or ones in my dreams. May your new year bring you new experiences and new adventures. And may our "new" normal include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Just Us Girls 575 Using an embossing folder

This card is for the Just Us Girls Challenge this week #575 to use an embossing folder. You can find the details of the challenge here:

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/03/just-us-girls-575-trend-week.html

I started making some of my Easter cards, s I used this lovely 3:d embossing folder on this one. The sentiment is from Unity, the  embossing folder is from Sizzix, and the cross is a die from Impression Obsessions. The leaves are a small die, and the flowers are from an old Creative Memories mini punch I have had for over 10 years.
