CAS530 and Sunday Stamps Challenge 203

I made this card for the clean and simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers today, and also for the Sunday Stamps Challenge that was a color challenge with these colors:

I used a Power Poppy digital image and used alcohol markers to color my image.

Welcome, stampers! I am Lynn McAuley and have the honor of being the April Challenge Hostess here at CCEE Stampers.

In the United States, April is the National Month of Hope. This week I challenge you to create a card with a sentiment of encouragement to send to a friend who is in need of a spark of love and hope in their lives. Sometimes the smallest gesture can light that spark.

Thanks for checking in on the challenge today. We hope you choose to play along. Please link your design below using Mr. Linky. If you are posting to an online gallery instead of your blog, please include keyword CCEE1916 in your card description.

I inked a Darice embossing folder and spritzed it with water and then smashed the paper between the folder to get this print. I used Distress Oxide inks on the folder. The image and sentiment is from Unity. I colored the image with alcohol markers.  The words reflect a new start each day, which is a promise of hope we have each day. I have a friend that has had a rough go with her health lately, and will soon be retiring. I hope these words of encouragement will lift her spirits.

CAS529 and TLC738

I made this card for the CAS and TLC challenges on SCS today, and then I found that the challenge for the Always Fun Challenge this week was Easter. So I will link it there too.  I used distress oxide inks for the blending done with makeup brushes and the stamps are from Sweet and Sassy.

I hope all of my friends who come by my blog will have a wonderful Easter season. Be safe, be kind, and be thankful for the salvation, which is what Easter is all about.

CCEE1914 Read a Map

Hello, CCEE Stampers! Lynn McAuley, April hostess, here with the first challenge of the month. Tomorrow is National Read a Road Map Day. In honor of it, let's create a card which incorporates a map or has a travel theme.

We would love for you to join us in this challenge. If you post it to an online gallery, please add keyword CCEE1914 in your description!

This old chevy is from a retired set from SU (2003) and it will always be a part of my stamp collection. I guess that sort of lets you know how long I've been stamping, doesn't it? I just made this computer generated sentiment which is an old Chevrolet jingle that use to be on television. I stamped the card in candied apple and added the silver metallic chrome on the car with a silver metallic paint pen.
