Double D Tree challenge

I spent my night last night making Christmas cards and most of them had Christmas trees on them, so I am using this one for the Double D tree challenge going on this week at this sight:

                               https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2021/11/trees.html

I am having fun using some of my Christmas paper scraps and I added this Sizzix die to it and a sentiment from SU.

Make the Card challenge 42

I used a background stamp with the words of 'Twas the Night before Christmas on it. This stamp is from Rubbernecker, I used red distress oxide ink for the stamping. I used an Inpressioon Obsession die for the tree and birds. The embellishing was done with mini rhinestones on the tree, and  I did this card for the Make this Card challenge. The challenge was to make use of a background stamp.
You can see the details here:

CCEE2146 Buffalo Plaid

Hi friends!

It's Kelly with your challenge this week.

I absolutely adore black and white buffalo plaid (also known as buffalo check)

so please create a card with buffalo plaid as your focal point.

Sorry, Kelly, the only buffalo print paper I had was turquoise, so I went with that. The stamp is from Rubbernecker. The sentiment die is from Impression Obsessions, and the pine might be as well. Not sure on that die. I colored the image with copic markers. I used a sparkle pen to accent the snowflake and the sugar sprinkles on the cookies and on the pine to give it an icy look.

Make sure to check out the team's cards over on the blogsite:

Christmas Card Throwdown challenge - Rainbow colors

I made this card for the Christmas Card Throwdown challenge to use rainbox colors. I use part of an Impression Obsessions background stamp to swipe the distress oxide ink colors across on the stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped it onto white water color paper. Then I stamped the silhouette and sentiment from Sweet and Sassy Stamps with black versafine ink.
You can find the details of the Christmas Card Throwdown challenge here:

Krafty Chicks Christmas challenge - 3 wise men

Had time to make one more card for the Krafty  Chicks Christmas challenge this week. You can find the details for the challenge here:

C.R.A.F.T. 617 - Christmas

I made this card using a Sweet and Sassy Stamp that I received this week. I used a stencil and distress oxide inks for the background. I used the green distress oxide ink for the sentiment. These fabulous dies are from Gina Marie. I used red paper for the card base. I thought this would make a great entry for the C.R.A.F.T. #617 for its Christmas theme this week. Cardz for Galz - CAS

This is one of my favorite CAS stamps to use for Christmas. I did a little partial stenciling behind it  with distress oxide inks and a plaid stencil. I mounted this on a rusty card base.
Here are the details for the challenge i am using this card to enter:

Krafty Chicks 585 Christmas challenge

I branched out from my comfort zone this Christmas and made quite a few slimline cards this season. This is a Power Poppy digital that I colored with copic markers. I carefully did the stenciling around the image. I really was pleased with the way this turned out. I used distress oxide ink for the stenciling. I mounted this onto a pink card base. I have taking part in almost every Christmas challenge I can find because I want to have lots of Christmas cards this season to send and I love making each of my cards differently to see how many of the Christmas stamps and digitals I have in my collection that I can use. This digital came in handy because I can size it to be whatever size I need it to be. I am entering this card into the Krafty Chicks Christmas challenge this week. You can find the details here:

The sentiment is from Stampin; Up (an oldie but goodie).

Hope your holiday cardmaking is getting off to a brisk start, and that your mojo flows during the season,

A Walk in the Woods

Our ABC challenge theme was animals, and the theme for Double D Challenge was a Walk in the Woods, so here is a card that is for both of these challenges:

I loved this little squirrel die cut so decided to capture this little scene of them preparing for the winter season.  I used distress oxide inks for the stenciling and the sky. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Idealogy strip.

STAMPlorations November challenge - stamps and fall

I love this quote on this Stamplorations stamp. Thanksgiving is the season of gratitude and this is such a lovely worded quote about Gratitude. I used an Impression Obsession background stamp for the background in robin egg distress oxide ink. The I found some khaki colored paper in my design paper stash to make the frame and do the punching on using a Martha Stewart punch. The card base is blue bayou, This is a simple card but I thought it turned out nicely I am entering it in the STAMPlorations November challenge found here:

Krafty Chicks - Stamp Act 584

I wanted to try out my new background stamp today that I got in the mail from Impression Obxessions. I used versamark ink that then added Gina K white embossing powder to it.  Once it was embossed I added distress oxide inks ( in fall like colors. I stamped just a portion of this background stamp onto a smaller piece of white paper and colored it with copic makers. I then cut it out, used a Gina K heart die to cut this heart in red, stamped on the sentiment from Impression Obsessions. I added the little sunflower with a dimensional foam piece. I used a white gel pen to go over the stamped letters of the word, "HOME."

I am using this as my entry for the Krafty Chicks Stamp act challenge this week. You can find the details of that challenge here:

Just us Girls Merry

I made this card this morning for the Just Us Girls challenge and also the Falliday Fest challenge of Ann's on Splitcoaststampers to use a red cardinal. I always love getting to use up some of my scraps from previous Christmas seasons, as I did for the design papers for this card.

You can find the details for the Just Us Girls challenge here:

And if you have not ever joined the Fan Club over on Splitcoaststampers, don't miss another minute of the fun and benefits you have available to you there. There are great challenges every day, and I have over 7000 of my cards in my gallery over there that I have appreciated as my way to keep copies of my cards for the last 17 plus years. It is a great space saving file for me for sure. Well worth the $25 yearly fee. That's just $2 a month and you can't even buy a craft magazine for that cheap. And the loads of ideas you have available to you is beyond what you would ever find in a magazine.  If you have never checked out Splitcoaststampers, go check it out. Anyone can browse free even without a membership, but with what all they offer to me on a daily basis is well worth this minimal yearly fee. I want these kinds of sites to stay active and alive so I choose to support them.

Jesus is the reason for the season

Now that November is here, most of the cards that will be created in my stamp room will be Chistmas cards. So I am taking on this challenge that was offered by As You See It challenge to feature the one that  that sums up Christmas for you. Having been a Christian all my life, Christ's birth has always been a part of my Christmas season and celebrating it. I remember as a child, my parents taking part in a live nativity tableu at my church. As their "young adult" class got older, it was the senior high youth group that took on that event when I was a teenager. The church festivities during this season always sums it up for me. JESUS is the reason for the season.

I used all my old Christmas paper scraps to create my background for this card. Then I added the die cut nativity and the embossed the sentiment with versamark ink and Ranger embossing powder.

CCEE2144 Manatee Awareness Month

  Hi friends!

Kelly is out CCEE hostess for the November challenges.

November is Manatee Awareness Month so let's celebrate

Florida's beloved, iconic marine mammal by adding one (or more!) to a card!

I did not have a manatee stamp so I copied this digital. I cute a slimline card of light aqua, and then used 3 different stencils and distress oxide inks to make the background. The sentiment is from Stampdendous.
