CCEE2129 National Hot Dog Day

Yesterday (7/21) was National Hot Dog Day, so include this national treasure on your card.  If you don't have a hot dog image, you can use any kind of fast food item. Thanks, Lois for this terrific challenge.

I've had this little stamp in my collection for quite some time, but it had a hamburger. I drew a hot dog and glued it over the hamburger just for this challenge. I love the sketch challenge over on SCS this week , so I used that design for my layout.

Summer is passing so fast, but hope you are enjoying yours!!! Thanks for checking in on our challenge and hope you will check out all the team's samples over on the blogsite here::

Daring Cardmakers July Inspiration challenge

Here is my card for the July Inspiration challenge you can find here:

Add a little doodling for fun

Zentangleing is one of my favorite ways to doodle. For this card I used some stamps from a set I ordered from Impression Obsessions that had some ffabulous doodles. The butterflies, leaves and the flower in the left lower corner were part of this set. The other lines I added my own doodling in addition to tie this design together. The sentment is from a Verve sentiment I have in my priced collection (especially shince this company is no longer in business.)  sure loved the sentiments Julie put out and miss them. I used a blacck Micron pen to do my added doodling. I added a few touchs of red to the part of the design that were the stamps. The leaves were stamps but I did not add red to them.

There are ttwo challenges going on that used dooddling as part of the challenge so here they are if you are wanting to check out the details of the challenges:

Your Next Stamp Challenge 167

Nothing speak "home sweet home: to me better than my state of Texas. I am a native Texan and have lived here all my life. The vintage cowgirls are a stamp from Technique Junkie, and the sentment is from a Texas based company Deadbeat Designs. t punched my "Punch Bunch" Texas paper punch and then used the negative side to stencil the shape of Texas onto the front of my card. The background was done with the smoosh method using distress oxide inks.  I used a versafine black pad for the image and the sentiment.
This is for the Your Next Stamp Challenge #167, You can find the details of the challenge here on their site:

Fusion - Summer dreamin and red and blue

Doing challenges are a fun way to get your creative juices flowing, so here's the one I did for the Fuson challenge. Here is their link:

These shells are from an old retired set of stamps from Flourishes (which are no longer in business) but they looked perfect with these patriotic papers.

I also used this card for the Color Hue challenge to use red and blue with the details found here:

Crafty Chicks #566

These stamped images are from a set by Impression Obsessions. I colored it with colored pencils and mounted it on yellow cardstock. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Ideology tag. I did this  for the Crafty Chicks challenge #566 -

Seize the Birthday by adding a little water

I am using this card for two challenges that I am taking part in today. One of the challenges is for the Seze the Birthday challenge to use an embossing folder, and the other is the Splitcoaststampers' Ways to Use challenge to use water on your card. So I decided to use a different way to use my embossing folder that might not done very often, but it is fun and easy. I embossed an interesting piece of design paper and then after embossing, I sanded the color off the paper to leave a white pattern from the embossing folder popping forth. Then for the SCS challenge I used Dina Kowal's Misty water color tutorial on SCS to use water in my printed image. I used Unity stamps for the image and the sentiment.  I used melon mambo cardstock for the card base. Inside iis a birthday sentiment.  Hope you like it:

You can find the details of both of these challenges here:
