CCEE2136 - swapping ideas

Tomorrow (9/10) is Swap Ideas Day. For today’s challenge, find a card you have seen using a new technique to you, or a new color combination, or anything you’ve never done before and make a card. Be sure to credit the person whose idea you have used.

I have started collecting stencils lately so I found a technique called shadow stenciling. I stenciled antique linen distressed oxide ink onto a black background, and then added white gel pen lines to one side so it would have a shadowed look. This stencil is from Stamplorations and the stamps are from Unity stamps. I used versafine black ink for the stamped images.

Check out the ideas being swapped over on the CCEE stampers blog that can be found here:

I also entered this card for the Ways to use challenge on Splitcoaststampers to use a balloon,
I entered this in the Cardz 4 Galz challenge found here:

Your Next Stamp Challenge 167

Nothing speak "home sweet home: to me better than my state of Texas. I am a native Texan and have lived here all my life. The vintage cowgirls are a stamp from Technique Junkie, and the sentment is from a Texas based company Deadbeat Designs. t punched my "Punch Bunch" Texas paper punch and then used the negative side to stencil the shape of Texas onto the front of my card. The background was done with the smoosh method using distress oxide inks.  I used a versafine black pad for the image and the sentiment.
This is for the Your Next Stamp Challenge #167, You can find the details of the challenge here on their site:
