Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Number it!

My friend wanted me to make her 8 year old grandson a birthday card for her, so I used 2 circle punches nd 2 oval punches to make this big 8. That made it fit the criteria for the Daring Cardmakers' challenge this week.  I decided to use a slimline format and had this bold stamp from Impression Obsessions for the sentiment. The rest is done with design papers. Cut the bright polka dots from design paper as well to be my balloons.  You can find the details for this great challenge here:

Alphabet challenge - Z is for Zodiac

How lucky I was to find this awesome design paper in my stash yesterday! When I saw what the challenge this week was for the Alphabet challenge was Z for Zodiac, I went straight to that tablet. I am  Leo, so of course I had this cute lion in my stamp collection. It is from Hampton Arts. I colored it with colored pencils and copic markers. I die cut the letters for LEO out of metallic chrome paper.

Can you handle the pressure? Rainbows

I started with white paper, embossed it with a 3-D Sizzix embossing folder, then with blending brushes I added the rainbow colors using Distress Oxide inks. The little unicorn stamp is from Stampabilities. I punched some butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch using some scraps of design paper from my work table. I added some wink of Stella over the unicorn to give it a little bit of a sparkle! I know lots of little girls who would love this card.

Inspired by...bouquets

It is always so fun to print out one of my Power Poppy images and take the time to color it. I really liked how this turned out, and I always love Marcella Hawley's incredible art. She has such fine details on her botanical things. This image was colored in alcohol markers. The sentiment is from Gina K designs stamped on a sticker from Tim Holtz. I used some design papers for the background and underlayer, and used a kraft card base.

Daring Cardmakers - Spots and stripes

I am making Easter cards at the present time, so I used these scraps I found on my work table to use as the background papers for this card. I mounted the design papers to a light green card base, then stamped this sentiment directly onto the design paper. This egg is a digital stamp from Power Poppy that I colored and fussy cut. It is colored with alcohol markers.

As You See It challenge 294 spring cleaning

I finally got some printed out digital stamps colored and found this perfect scrap of gingham in the pile on my work table. It went together rather nicely on a spring themed card to mail for Easter. This digital is by my favorite artist, Marcella Hawley (Power Poppy)  and was colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from an Idealogy sticker tablet from Tim Holtz. I used a light green card base for this.

Art Impression challenge - Green Galore

It feels like spring has sprung around in my part of Texas, so it seemed like a good idea to get out this wreath set from Art Impressions to use for their Green Galore challenge that is up this week. I stamped the wreath with Versafine clair black ink and colored it with various shades of Copic green markers. I used a piece of design paper for my background.  You can find the details for this challenge here:

Triple B Challenge Number 1

I made this card for the new Triple B challenge that just started this week. It was so exciting to find out about this challenge and to get started with it from the very beginning.  I used this beautiful slimline die from Crafter's Companion. The butterfly is from a favorite old set of mine from Our Daily Bread, colored with Copic markers and used a layer of wink of stella over it. The sentiment is from Gina K designs. I made it a birthday card staying with the B idea!! LOL

Create a smile challenge

I made this card for the Create a Smile challenge.  I used stenciling for the green leaves, a stamp for the bunny and pot, and a sticker for the eggs.

Details for challenge found here:

HMFMC 385

I am using this card for a few challenges this week. This week's challenge for the HMFMC is to use a die cut. So I used this cute image with a love word die. It also met the criteria for the Double Trouble challenge to use green and a plaid, the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge to use green, and the "go green" challenge for the Try it on Tuesday challenge.
I stamped the House Mouse image with a Versafine clair black pad, and colored the image with copic markers.  I used design papers mounted to black card base. I added the green enamel dots for embellishments and cut this Love die from Rubbernecker.

The challenges are all linked to their blog pages to find the details of the challenges and the links.
