Crazy is my name, Stenciling my game for May challenge

I made this card for the May challenge over at Crazy is my name, Stenciling is my game. 

I love bouquets and this is a particularly beautiful one from Power Poppy. I colored it with alcohol markers and stamped the sentiment with a stamp from Stampendous. The stencil is from A Colorful Life called Stylized Four Petals that I used for my background done with distressed light green oxide inks.

The basket I used on this card is a digital from Impression Obsessions and one of my favorites. I colored it with alcohol markers, which I also used for the coloring of my tulips that are from Power Poppy. Power Poppy has some of the most beautiful floral images out there. I found this gorgeous design paper in my stash. The sentiment is from Stampendous and I stamped it in versafine clair black. I used a sage cardstock for my card base. 

 

Festive Friday Papercrafting Challenge #175

I don't think I have ever used this stamp set that I have had for some time. The challenge for the Festive Friday seemed like a perfect chance to use it. They are celebrating National Winnie the Pooh day and I chose to use: yellow, bees, and a friend sentiment. The image is from Stampendous and it is colored with alcohol markers.

C.R.A.F.T. challenge #697

My sweet little great great nephew turned 1 this week, so I made this card for him. I am entering it in the  C.R.A.F.T. challenge #697 to make a card for a child. The space suit is a stamp from Deep Red and the birthday sentiment is from Stampendous. I free handed the cutting of the big number one! He is the first of the newest generation of our family, so I refer to  him inside the card as Commander Beckett, the one in charge of the next generation.

Little Red Wagon Challenge 717

I love using kraft paper and when I saw that the Little Red Wagon Challenge this week was to use kraft paper, I jumped right to it. I  added these two design paper strips first then I stamped this Stampendous bird image onto the card with versamark ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I used colored pencils to color the image. The little butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

Can You Handle the Pressure - birds or birdhouses

 

I made this card for the current Can you Handle the pressure? challenge with the theme being birds or birdhousess. You can find the details of the challenge here:

I embossed my white card base with an embossing folder from Darice. The die I used was by Momenta, and the sentiment from Stampendous. I colored the leaves and tree limb with copic markers and I recut the die onto blue paper for the bird image.

The dotted design papers were torn into strips provided the background. The image is from Stampendous. It was stamped with versafine clair black. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy strip.

I used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge this week to make this card. I did some stenciling using baja breeze, Pacific pointe, and lovely lavender Stampin' Up ink, The stamping is done in Versafine Clair black, and I blended the lavender onto the flower with a blending brush. The leaves were stamped in the baja breeze ink and Pacific pointe ink. The sentiment is from Stamploration, the flower is from Stanpendous, the leaves are from Stampin' Up and the script is from American Crafts.

CCEE2214 Look Up at the sky day

It's Liz back for our second challenge for April. 

 – It’s "look up at the sky day.”  So recreate something you love as a beautiful part of God’s huge canvas (maybe a starry night, a bright rainbow, sunrises or sunsets, or beautiful cloud formations. )

I have used a Hero Arts stamp for the sea and sentiment, a Stampendous set for the sailboats and seagulls,  and an SU geometric stamp for the sun. I used the cloud stencil from A Colorful Life. Distress oxide inks provided all the colors for the sea and sky and Versafine Clair for the sentiment and the sailboats and seagulls.

As You See it - staying dry

 

This is for the As You See It challenge this week. The theme Staying Dry. This is an image from Sassy Cheryl design. The sentiment is from Stampendous. The background stamp of water drops I am not sure of the source. They were stamped in blue distress oxide ink. The image is colored in copic markers. This took me about 10 minutes to put together.

Inspiration Station #26 - Rainbow

I just got this new stencil from Ranger (Simon Hurley) and decided to use it for the Inspiration Station challenge this week  using rainbow colors.  I made use various colors of distress oxide inks from Tim Holtz. I added rhinestones in the centers. The sentiment is from Stampendous stamped in Versafine Clair black ink. I mounted it on a light blue card base.

Dream Valley #266

This card was made for the Dream Valley challenge #266 using the spring time theme. I stenciled the background with the new saltwater tally distress oxide ink, stamped the Hero Arts rose and watercolored the petals with the same saltwater taffy distress oxide ink, and the leaves I colored with a copic marker. The sentiment is from Stampendous and stamped in Versafine Clair. The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch using a scrap of design paper from my stash.

This is an image from Art Impressions. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I used some Tim Holtz  blackout idea-ology paper to emboss with the numbers and then I sanded off the black to reveal the kraft color underneath. I colored the image with copic markers. Inside I added the words:

"Afterall, it's just a number!" I mounted this onto a kraft card base. 

HMFMC #343 Make it Small

Here is my tag for the HMFMC #343 challenge to make it small. I used a stamp set from Stampendous. I kept it simple on a kraft tag and on white cardstock. I used Versafine black and copic markers for the image and background. You can find this current challenge for House Mouse here:

Double D challenge Bee Inspired

 

I love this bee set from Stampendous and was excited to see the theme of theDouble D  challenge this week.  I used distress oxide inks to do a water color smash on watercolor paper for the background. I stamped on the honeycomb background using stained walnut oxide ink and stamped the bees with versafine black ink. Then I colored them with Copic markers.  I mounted this onto a honey colored cardstock card base.

CAS on Friday - The colour green

 I love CAS cards because they can be made so quickly. So I used the new Plentiful Plants by Stampin' Up that included the stamps and dies I used. I used a stencil to stencil a small background and used mowed lawn distressed oxide ink on the stenciling,  The sentiment is from Stampendous.  I don't really like real mice, but I do love my 4 legged little House Mouse buddies that can always find a place to stay in my stamp room!!! I used Distress Oxide Inks to smash onto my cardstock, then I stamped the musical staff in Versafine black. The trumpeter is a die I found at Tuesday Morning a few months back. I have a friend who does music with me on mission teams that go into Texas state jails, who is a trumpeter and May 14th is her birthday. So, Happy Birthday, Pam! 

Tuesday Challenges Zentangled lady

A few years ago I discovered the wonderful world of zentangling, so for one of the Tuesday challenges that I chose to create this card. I stamped the face with a Stampendous stamp, and then I splashed a few pastel colors of distressed oxide ink around the face, and then I added hair and the zentangled designs in her hair around in the background. I decided to let the face be all that I colored so I used a combination of copic markers and distressed oxide inks that I water colored with like on the eye shadow, and also blended with for eyeshadow and blush to face.

So this is for the which  Try it on Tuesday challenge with the theme Lovely Ladies.
