CCEE2225 Roses and Pearls.

 The rose is the national flower for the month of June while the pearl is June’s gemstone. Lynn is asking the CCEE Stampers to include both of these beauties on their card for this week’s CCEE Challenge!

I did a little shadow stenciling on this card with two different shades of distress oxide inks. I stamped the rose with a Gina K stamp set, and blended the color on the rose with distress oxide inks as well. I colored the leaves with copic markers. The sentiment is  from a set from Sweet and Sassy, using versafine clair black ink. I added the pearls at the intersection points of the stencil pattern.

HMFMC368

This card is for the HMFMC368. I love using up my pretty scraps and I found just the one for this cute image. I used the flip quilt technique to flip the stripes from what they are on the background. I colored my image with copic markers.

Can you handle the pressure challenge - Things with wings

This card was made for two challenges: the My Time to Craft Christmas challenge, which was to use a hymn or song as your theme, and the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge, which was to use something with wings along with some embossing,  This meets both criteria and it puts me ahead on my Christmas card making. I certainly appreciate that!!

I used a stamp set from Impression Obsessions that I stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the images and sentiment out. My background was done on heavy white paper using a 3_D embossing folder from Sizzix.

Christmas Throwdown Challenge

My silver chrome card stock was difficult to photograph but I used a 3-D embossing folder from Sizzix for the card base of this Christmas card that I am entering in the Christmas Throwdown challenge this week.I used a 3 -d embossing folder/die for the poinsettia, and die cut the leaves. The sentiment is from Unity. I used a silver metallic pen to make the center of the poinsettia.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge #600

I am entering this card in the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge (to use washi tape).  I used some design paper mounted onto kraft cardstock, added the bufffalo print washi stripe and then some die cut deer. TGIF374 Tone on Tone

This bird stamp is from an old forgotten cling set that has hardly been used. I don't even remember the name of the company who made it. The background stamp on the cardbase is from Impression Obesessions as is the clouds in the background behind the birds. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I used broken china distress oxide ink for the background and the image. I used Versafine Clair black ink for the sentiment. I used some strips of design papers for the strips and some enamel dots foe embellishments.

Just Add Ink 609 Flowers

I used an old stamp that I have never used before for the background using Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink.  The stamp set is so old I don't even remember the source for it. The rose on the doily is from My Sentiments Exactly as is the sentiment. I added a doily and the image was colored with Copic markers. As you like it - feminine or masculine

 

I made this very feminine card for my As You Like It challenge card. I love flowers and I love my Unity Angie girls in my stamp collections, so I always find I have more images that would fit the  feminie category  from my collection. These stamps are from Unity, and the embossing folder is a Sizzix 3-D embossing folder that I rubbed pink distressed ink onto. I colored the image with colored pencils.

Fusion Challenge

I used the sketch and the colors from these Fusion challenges this week. The background was done with a Sweet and Sassy background stamped in distress oxide antique linen and then stamped a little offset with versafine clair black ink. It gave it an embossed look. I used these colors from this color chart for the colors of my shells from a Flourish stamp set.

CCEE2224 - National Insect week

 Good day, friends. It's time to get stamping again with the CCEE Stampers.  Lynn McAuley is sharing with us our latest challenge.

June 20 - 26 is National Insect Week. For that reason, she is asking that you add some type of creepy crawly creature of the six legged type to your CCEE design this week.

This is some fablous cardstock that has the look of alcohol inks. I added the banner, the dragonfly, and the sentiment. The die and the sentiment are from Tim Holtz, I added white gel ink on the wings and then sparkle pen to give the wings a glimmer.

SOS473 - There's No Gnome Like You

I made this card for the Shopping our stash challenge "There's No Gnome Like You."

I have had these little garden gnomes (from Inkadinkado)  in my stamp stash for awhile and also this stencil from Stamplorations so thought it great for this challenge. This sentiment is from Gina Marie designs, I used distress oxide inks for the stenciling on the background. I am also entering this into the CAS695 challenge this week over on Splitcoaststampers as I used a lavender colored background rather than white for the background of this CAS card.

CCEE2223 Father's Day

I made this card for the CCEE2223 challenge to make a father's day card and the Sketch Challenge on SCS this week. 

I used an old SU alphabet set to spell out dad with red distress oxide ink. I stamped the shell with Versafine Clair black on design paper. I fussy cut it out and added to the card. My stenciling I did with a Colorful Life stencil with aqua ink on the aqua background panel.

Little Red Wagon challenge - 658 Digi Do

I love the floral designs offered by Power Poppy, so when I saw that the challenge for this week at Little Red Wagon was to use a digital, I pulled up one of my most recent ones from Power Poppy. I colored it with /Copic markers. I gathered some wonderful scraps from my scrap box that worked well with the colors.  This will make a great birthday card for the many family members and friends that I have with summer birthdays.  The sentiment is from Gina K designs.

I used an Impression Obsession background stamp with aqua, orange and pink distress oxide inks on it. I spritzed it with water and then put my white paper down. The cute images are from Inkadinkado, stamped them with Versafine Clair black, and then used colored pencils to color the images.

Make the card challenge #57 - shades of blue

Needing a sympathy card and thought this theme of shades of blue that is on Make the Card Challenge #57 would be a very soothing color to use. I used an Impression Obsession background stamp for the background by smearing varies colors of blue distress oxide inks and spritzed with a mist of water before I impressed the paper on it. I used a Momenta die using white paper. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.  I also embossed the white cardstock although it is not seen much in the photo.

Less is More 466

This was a quick and easy card, as the metallic strips were the discard pieces from a die I used for another project. I die cut the letters in black and I added it to a tan card. I know most CAS cards are done on white, but since this was a masculine theme, I went with the tan.

Krafty Chicks #615

It is always fun to find Christmas challenges in the summertime so I jumped right on this one that Krafty Chicks was having this week. This is a new die that I recently found on a red tag deal I could not resist at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago. The sentiment die is from Impression Obsessions. I used some pattern paper to complete a background design.

My Time to Craft Christmas - Lantern or candle

I was able to use one of my newest dies and latest bargains I found recently at my Hobby Lobby, to use for the theme being used for the My Time to Craft Christmas challenge. I used some design papers for my background and this Momenta die for my lantern. I used an older sentiment stamp from my stash for the sentiment that I embossed using versamark ink and silver embossing powder.

Addicted to CAS- dots

 I used some ol favorites from my stamp collection for this Addicted to CAS challenge this week. I used an old SU background stamp angling it on the opposite corners of my card. I used a pink distress oxide ink for my polka dots. Then I stamped onto some dotted design paper for my flower, which is an old Stampabilites stamp from my stash. I embossed with with white embossing powder.  fussy cut it out and before I glued it down I stamped some leaves from an Artistic Impression stamp set that is probably my newest stamp I used for this card. The sentiment is an oldie from SU. The leaves and sentiment were stamped in expresso ink.

Sweet Stampin' challenge - 3 of a kind

 

This little tag with its 3 little flowers was the perfect element for this embossed and inked card for the Sweet Stampin' Challenge with the details here:

I used some of my older SU stamps on this tag, and inked the inside part of the embossing folder from Sizzix with tan distressed oxide ink. I used a smaller piece of lavender foil paper as an accenting piece in the design. 

Can you handle the pressure challenge - Birds

This week's theme for the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge is birds. This little bird finding a goodie in the garden on this Sizzix embossing folder seemed to fit the bill. I inked the back of the front inside of the folder with antique linen distress oxide ink. Then I ran it through my Big Shot. Then I inked up an Impression Obsession background stamp and lightly  inked the flatter portions of the paper using frayed burlap. Using the same frayed burlap I did a little splatter stamping with a small stamp. I die cut the sentiment using the same tan paper I used for the card base.

Jingle Bell challenge - Ombre 'Oliday

 

I am so happy today to get to add a Christmas card to my stash. I have gotten way behind on my quota that I try to do during the year. I am doing this one for the Jingle Bell Challenge - Ombre 'Oliday.

Using a stencil from The Rabbit Hole, I used various green inks of Distress Oxide inks. Then I did some direct print with the edge of my ink pad for extra texture on the card. I added dimensional sticker ornaments and silver sequin stars as my embellishment. 

CCEE2222 World Oceans Day

Double D Challenge - use white and one color

I love collecting stamps, stencils, and dies from all sorts of sources as there are so many great companies out there offering such a beautiful variety of things. I love mixing them together to see what I can create. That is exactly what I did here. I used Broken China distress oxide ink for my color. choice. I used a Gina K stencil using the Broken China ink/ I used a Sweet and Sassy background texture with versamark ink and white embossing powder to bring out the white off my card. I cut a Sizzix flower die from white cardstock. I added the turquoise flower sequins with pearl centers as an embellishment. The sentiment iss from a Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy pad.

Little Red Wagon challenge 657

Stenciling has become one of my go to technique especially if I need to complete a project quickly. This card was made with two different A Color Life stencils. I added the handwritten sentiment. I used various colors of distress oxide inks for the fish and for the dots and waves on the side panels. 

I thought it perfect for the Little Red Wagon's Something Fishy Going On challenge.

CCEE2221 Country Cooking Month

 Hello, CCEE Stamper Fans! I am Lynn McAuley, and I will be hosting the CCEE Challenges for the month of June.

In the United States, June has been declared country cooking month. I am therefore asking the CCEE Stampers to create cards which feature fabulous bounty from the garden in the form of fruits or vegetables that you love to prepare and serve your family during the hot months of summer.

I had some terrific design paper to use for this challenge and I used a stamp I had from an old set from Flourishes which I stamped in Versafine Clair black, and I colored the image with Copic makers. Can you handle the pressure? Challenge - butterflies

 

One of my favorite techniques is embossing. On this one that I did for the Can You handle the Pressure challenge this week, I inked over the embossing that I did on a piece of design paper. The pattern on the design paper is very subtle and after inking the raised parts of the embossing, it did not show that pattern much at all. This rose is from Hero Arts. I blended the color on it with distress oxide ink and a blending brush. I colored the leaves with colored pencils. I used copic markers to color the butterfly (not sure of source for that stamp). The sentiment is from Stamplorations.

CTD695

 

I used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge this week to make this card. I did some stenciling using baja breeze, Pacific pointe, and lovely lavender Stampin' Up ink, The stamping is done in Versafine Clair black, and I blended the lavender onto the flower with a blending brush. The leaves were stamped in the baja breeze ink and Pacific pointe ink. The sentiment is from Stamploration, the flower is from Stanpendous, the leaves are from Stampin' Up and the script is from American Crafts.
