WT771 and Mod Squad Challenge

The challenge today for the Ways to Use challenge was to use vellum. I could only come up with this small strip so I embossed a plaid pattern onto it and embossed this reindeer  (both old stamps from Stampin' Up). The bliss is a puffy sticker and the card base is brown cardstock and design paper for the background. I am adding this to the Mod Squad challenge this week to do winter or Christmas, and the Little Red Wagon challenge.

I loved the red and brown together.

My card for the Unity Challenge

I did this card for the Unity challenge this week. I did a scene card for my CCEE stampers challenge this week too. For the Unity challenge you were to use only Unity stamps. Well, I did not have any Unity background kinds of stamps so I used dies and embossing and torn paper to complete this scene.

My sister, Lynn is a whiz at these scene kinds of cards that she does mostly by using Kitchen Sink multilayered stamps and masking. I am always amazed at hers. I did enjoy making these two cards this week but I had to do it mostly with paper layering and not masking.

I plan to use this card for these challenges also:
The Cut Up Challenge
Daring Cardmakers
Festive Friday Challenge - I made use of embossing (the brick house), tree, and snowflakes (hand drawn falling past the bricks, the girl, and the window.

Hope all of you who visit my blog have a blessed Christmas season, and wishing you a happy 2020!

We thank you for another wonderful year of shared stamping and wish you and yours the very best during this season of joy. Please join us in the new year for more shared stamping fun!

For our last challenge, I am asking that you create a card which has a window. It will then be your choice on whether you want to be peeking IN on Santa or peeking OUT at Santa. I can't wait to look through your window to spy on Santa. Have fun!!

Please share your design using Mr. Linky over on the CCEEblog site HERE. Should you post your card to an online gallery, please include keyword CCEE1950.

Good morning, CCEE Stampers and friends! Lynn McAuley here to lead you through the final challenges for 2019.

Check things out over on the CCEEStampers blog site HERE

Here is my card for the challenge this week:

I used a Darice embossing folder on my white card stock. I die cut the Merry using some stripped design paper, and a red poinsettia sticker as a little touch of color.

CCEE1948

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here again, bringing you one last challenge for November.

November is also known as Movember which is a time to celebrate and raise funds for male issues. For our challenge this month include a Moustache (Mo) on your card in some way. Hint ... if you are busy making Christmas cards, Santa has a moustache!!!!

Let's take a look at what our Design Team have created for our challenge this week  over on the Blog site HERE .www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

This is my latest and greatest new stamp and die from Rubbernecker Stamps, just in time to use on this challenge. The trees stamp is from Momenta, and the sentiment is an old Stamp Up. I used stickers to embellish with on this.

CCEE1947 Go fo a ride day

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here again with another fun challenge for you all.

Tomorrow is Go For A Ride Day, so for our challenge this week incorporate some sort of transport on your card…. Bike, car, train, plane, hot air balloon etc. How will you be riding this week?

Let's take a look at what our Design Team created for this challenge .over on the CCEEStampers blog HERE

I love my Art Impression stamps so since this is the perfect "road trip" image for this point in my life, I just had to use it.  The design paper in gold letters has the repeated message: Not all who wander are lost!!! So inside it says, "....they are just on a road trip!"

Make My Monday - Red/white/green

Here is my card for the Make My Monday challenge to use red, white, and green. I used an old Stampin' Up set and a new Momenta die set I found at Tuesday Morning this week. The inks are Distress Oxide inks and I used Paper Studio design paper.

House Mouse Challenge

Here's my newst house mouse stamp and loved these two enjoying themselves as they decorated for the upcoming holidays. I think I will try to have that fun attitude as I drag out my decorations to get started for the most wonderful time of the year.

Check out tthe challenge found HERE.

Wow, I am so honored that this was picked as one of  the top three of the week!

Mod Squad challenge - vehicle

I made this card for the Falliday challenge that Polly hosted that required it represent a holiday tradition. Looking for the perfect tree use to be the tradition for my family until artificial trees became the more practical thing to do. I do miss the tradition however. I also used this card for the Mod Squad challenge to use a vehicle on the card. This car and sentiment is from Unity, and the trees are from Momenta. I used emerald distress oxide ink for the trees. I used a piece of design paper for the skill. I colored my card with alcohol markers. I tore the paper to give the snow an undefined look. I dotted some snowflakes with white gel pen.

CCEE1946

Hi Crafty Friends,

According to the Days of the Year website, the 11th November was Sundae Day ... doesn't that sound like a delicious day!  So for our challenge this week, create a card that features ice cream of some sort.

Now let's take a look at all the yummy "Ice Cream" creations our Design Team created this week ...... check out the CCEEstampers blog HERE

The cones are from Tim Holtz, the sentiment from Stampendous, and the banner from Stampabilities.  I used distress oxide inks for my background. The hands are diecuts and I cut the sleeves. The banner was paper pieced.

CCEE1945 coffee

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's a brand new month, which means it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for the month. This time around it is
 Frances Byrne.

Apparently tomorrow (8th November) is Cappuccino day, so for our challenge this week create a coffee themed card.

BTW did you know that this week (November 1 - November) is also the 2019 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog HopSo if you enjoy coffee themed cards, make sure you check it out.

Let's take a look at what "caffeine" creations our Design Team have created this week:

I used this stamp from Unity for my card today. I loved these pretty papers I found in my stash, and these cute cork letters worked great to spell out JAVA. The foiled copper paper was a little difficult to photograph, so it looks much better in real life.  I did a little paper piecing on the cup and colored the top with a copic marker.

CCEE1944 Time of Harvest

 Hi everyone!

Thanks, Kelly, for all your great challenges for the month of October.

Today is Halloween!
Although many celebrate this day with dressing up or finding fun costumes, --  "let's keep it simple and create a card with anything Halloween OR Harvest -- costumes, candies, spooky things, or just use orange and black!"

We're looking forward to what you create!

I decided to make a harvest card, and wishing blessings of grace.  I love the colors of fall and wanted to make use of some of my favorites and yet making use of the orange and black combination as well.

Also using this to enter in the https://addicted-to-stamps-challenge.blogspot.com/

CCEE1943 Porch in the fall

It's Kelly here with your weekly challenge.
This week, think about a 'Porch in the Fall' --
leaves, pumpkins, rocking chair, wreaths on the door, décor.
Create a card with a fall porch in mind or use fall colors!

We look forward to seeing what you create!

I used a Bo Bunny stamp to make the bricks and Rubber Tapestry stamps for my plants. and not sure of the source for my senitment. My bench is a diecut.  I drew the window and the porch floor.

MIX351 and CTD565

I made this for the MIX challenge on SCS to use mixed media and use a sentiment that is pieced together from other stamps. I also used the colors of lilac, gray, and black which were this week's color throwdown challenge colors. I used my old SU hydrangea stamp and for the words I used 3 different Verve stamps. This card was done on watercolor paper and the inks were Distress Oxide inks and Versafine black. For a little pizzaz I added lilac sequins.

CCEE1942

Hi everyone!
Kelly here continuing on as your October hostess!
Yesterday was National Fossil Day.
A fossil is a preserved impression of a once-living thing from a past geological age, including plants, animals, shells, and more.
Your challenge is to create a card including anything that has been found as a fossil -- dinosaurs, leaves, amber, footprints, etc.

We look forward to seeing what you make!

I had to really search my dies and stamps to come up with something for this challenge. Plus I was running late getting this made, so this is what I came up with. CAS is good when time in ticking away!!! The sentiment stamp is from VERVE.

CCEE1941 National Rainforest Week

Kelli continues this month as hostess.  She tells us that it's World Rainforest Week (October 10-16).  Our challenge is to create a card showing the rainforest or any animal you'd find in the rainforest (and/or trees, rivers, rainforest animals, etc.).

I decided to use lots of color and especially greens on my card. I used a cute stamp and diecutting set from Spellbinders for this card.

Hope you check out all of the team cards over on the CCEEstampers blogsite HERE
If you want to join in on the fun, just link your card over on the blogssit linky and if you post it to SCS use the CCEE1941 keyword. .

CCEE1940

Kelli is the hostess for October.  She tells us that "today is National Techies Day.  I am so grateful to have the technology that we do!  Create a card with something 'techy' on it (computers, cell phones, etc.) or simply create a thank you card (if need be!)"

Mine is done with two bugs having a conversation. The ant is from Momento and the grasshopper is from Stampin' Up. It says, Ant: Where's your antenna?  The grasshopper: I've gone digital.
The only thing I found with technological stuff on it was this paper, which it appears my sister, Lynn has too. I saw this joke on Pinterest.

TLC762 and Challenge up your life #115

This card is for the SCS Technique challenge to use acrylic block coloring, and also for the Challenge Up your life challenge found HERE.I used an old seashell set from Flourishes, and used SU ink pads to do the coloring.  It was all done on watercolor paper.

CCEE1939

The 25th September was World Dream Day. So for our challenge this week create a card with someone/something sleeping/dreaming

I downloaded this digital image from Bugaloo Stamps because I could not seem to find an image of someone sleeping. The chocolate stamp is an oldie but goody from Stampin' Up.

Join in on the fun over at CCEEStampers HERE. While you are there linking your card, make sure you check out the team's cards.

Ahoy there me Hearties!!!!

It's challenge time here on the CCEE Stamps blog.

Today is Talk Like A Pirate Day, so grab those pirate stamps/dies to create your card this week. No pirate stamps, think beach, ocean or treasure.

Let's take a look at what our Design Team has created this week ..

Here's my tall card using a new butterfly stamp set I just recently acquired.

Llamas are llamazing and so cute!

This is my door decoration for my classroom at the preschool where I work:
Thought it fit the theme for the giveacrafteracookiechallenge this week!

I covered the door with pieces of scrapbooking papers, hand cut my letters, free handed my llama and it says, "MUSIC IS LLAMAZING"

This was the inspiration cookies from the challenge. I thought they were adorable!!

CCEE1935 Encouragement card

Anne presenting us  with our last challenge.  Make a card or project that encourages someone, and send it!

We  have enjoyed your challenges this month. dear Anne.  Frances is up next month as Hostess.

Since it was an encouragement card, I think Unity has some of the best encouraging sentiments and stamps out there on the market. I used this one today, which is one of my newer stamps in my Unity collection. I stenciled the colors for the background using my makeup brushes and Distress Oxide inks. So I wouldn't have to cut around the fine hairs on this image, I stamped it on the background and then stamped another that would be cut out and placed it over the one I stamped onto the background.

F4A496 and Daring cardmakers

I did this under the sea theme for both the F4A challenge on Splitcoaststampers and for the Daring Cardmakers challenge this week. I stenciled the background water with distress oxide inks using two different stencils, I stamped the seahorse with distressed oxide ink as well, and using the Doxi directly to paper I colored my paper so I could make this freehanded seaweed for the seahorse to attach himself to. I used some design paper for the card to mount it on, and a red cardstock base.

CCEE1934 fancy folds

I can't believe we're so far into August!!  This is Anne with my next-to-last challenge!

I love fancy folds.  Use whatever fancy fold that takes your fancy!!

And I am late with my card, since I have been away from my computer for a few days.

Here is my card and fancy folds are not my thing, as I have measuring and fussy details.
This is a gate fold card and then I attached stripes that crossed over the front.  Pretty easy one.

The stamps are from Unity.

Less is More 402 -stenciling

Here is my card for the More is Less #402 using a stencil. You can find this challenge HERE

I used a small patterned stencil blending my distress oxide inks onto the stencil with a soft make up brush. Then I used some of my favorite small Stampin' Up stamps from my old collection. I am always in need of sympathy cards for care team at my church.

C4C498 Sketch

Here is the sketch for the Crazy for Challenges challenge this week;

and here is my card:

Thought these circles were great for some Tim Holtz crazy birds peeking in, I colored my images with alcohol markers.

This also works for the Just Us Girls color challenge of red, hot  pink, and grey.

CAS on Friday162 Stenciling

I did this card today for the CAS on Friday  162 challenge to use a stencil. I love using Distress Oxide inks and make up brushes for stenciling.  I added the Mother Teresa quote to this one layer card.

CCEE1933 Vacation Destenation

"Anne here again with my next challenge.  This time I'm asking you all to create a card using a vacation destination .... one you love or would like to go to, and make sure to add a 3D element for fun."

I dream trip would be somewhere by the ocean. So I grabbed up some of my beachy papers and this cute set and colored it to match these fun colors of the papers. If I can't make it happen in real life, I can certainly use my imagination.

CCEE1932 Embossing

Anne Harmon here again as our hostess in the month of August.  For our challenge this week, use either wet or dry embossing.  Embossing adds so much to a card.  Add some bling (glitter, gems, sequins, etc.)

This is a 3-D embossing folder from Spellbinder that I found recently at my local Tuesday Morning.
After I embossed the green cardstock, I rubbed my tattered rose distress oxide ink pad over the embossing. Then I tore a lighter green strip and embossed it the opposite direction in the folder.
This rose image is from an old retired set from Stampin' Up and I die cut the white frilly corners to add some accenting to the card. The rose is colored with Copic alcohol markers.

CCEE1931

This week Lois begins the month of August as our hostess,  and is asking we use a die and a ribbon on our cards. I decided to get a Christmas card done in July, as some of the other design team members did as well.. I am way behind where I usually am this time of year for my Christmas cards, and will be probably really busy in October and November trying to catch up.  This stamp set was one I found recently for a discount price at Tuesday Morning. I accented it with gold leaf ink to give my card a more elegant look.

CCEE1930

Who knew the moth would have a whole week dedicated to it!!  Use a moth (or butterfly) on your card today.  Extra credit if you actually have a Moth stamp/digital you can use.

This is an opportunity to add to your Birthday, Thank you Thinking of you or just all-occasion card stash.  LET THE INSECTS FLY!

It's been fun thinking up challenges this month.  Hope you enjoyed them!  Vicky

I used a Power Poppy digital image that I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from a retired SU set. I used white cardstock for the base and design papers for the other papers on my card.

cceestampers 1929 stencils

Vicky is  back with another challenge we hope you will join in with!

If you're like me, you have lots of stencils.  I have a drawer full that I never think of!  Get one of those out that you haven't used (or haven't used in ages) and put it to good use!

Have a fun, creative day!

Cute card Thursday - Pink

I made this card today for the Mixed media challenge on Splitcoastampers  and I saw that it fit the theme of pink for the Cute Card Thursday challenge as well. I used Tim Holtz distressed oxide inks and his stamps. I also used pink acrylic pant, gold embossing powder for a few other types of media.

You can find these challenges here:

CCEE1928 - thinking of you

Most of us probably know an older person who may or may or live alone  Let's make a "Thinking of you" card and actually send it out!  If you don't know anyone, send it to a local nursing home and address it to "Someone Special" or any other phrase  you can think of.

Let's cheer up some people today!  Have fun.

Check out the other team members' cards HERE.

I used some oxide inks to make this smashed color as the inset for this die. This die is from SpellBinders. Perfect for today's challenge. I added some diecut leaves and punched flowers.

COFJUL19

This month's Crafter of Faith' s challenge is to use something we have saved.

 July 2019: Hostess Sue (bensarmom)

Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
---------------

This design paper I used I have saved in my stash for quite sometime. Because of the gold foil sea designs on it, I was waiting for the perfect challenge. So, I decided I would use it for this challenge. I love to save seashells, and consider them God's treasures from the ocean. I also loved that this paper had an anchor on it. So I also used the Tim Holtz stamps of the anchor and the sand dollar because the anchor is such a symbol of hope and I remembered that the ledge  the sand dollar reflects Christ's life and death.

The Legend of the Sand Dollar

There’s a lovely little legend
That I would like to tell,
Of the birth and death of Jesus
Found in this lowly shell.

If you examine closely
You’ll see that you find here,
Four nail holes and a fifth one
Made by a Roman’s spear.

On one side the Easter Lily,
Its center is the star,
That appeared unto the shepherds
And led them from afar.

The Christmas Poinsettia
Etched on the other side,
Reminds us of His birthday
Our happy Christmastide.

Now break the center open
And here you will release,
The five white doves awaiting
To spread Good Will and Peace.

This simple little symbol
Christ left for you and me,
To help us spread His Gospel
Through all eternity.

Here is my card::

So I am letting this card and its symbols be my words that "Jesus is Lord", that He died for my sins, that He is risen from the dead, and He will come again. I believe this with all my heart and profess it in any and every way that I can.

CAS on Friday color 161

Here is my card for the color challenge over on CAS on Friday  using so saffron, bermuda bay, and pool party.  The background stamp is from Stampin' Up, and the bird is from Tim Holtz, and the sentiment is Inkadinkado .

stars, stripes, red, white and blue challenges

Stars and Stripes  and red, white, and blue seemed to be the themes of the week for many challenges, so here is my card for all of them.

I used it for the following challenges:
SCS - MIX336

CCEE1927

Vicky is taking her turn to play hostess for the month of July.

Since both Australia and the USA have red, white and blue for their colors, let's use those colors to make a card.  It does not have to be for a holiday, just red, white and blue....but, of course, if you send out patriotic cards, go for it!  Have a fun, creative day!

My sister, Lynn gave me this wonderful stencil recently and thought it perfect for a red, white, and blue background for this card. I used distress oxide inks and my fabulous make up brushes to apply the ink. I stamped my Unity girl onto a different piece of paper, colored it with copic markers and fussy cut it to add over it. I stamped the sentiment over the stenciled portion with versafine black.

Honoring our fabulous Joanne Grzelak

I was so saddened to hear at the end of May of the passing of one of my stamping pals who inspired my creativity by her wonderful designs that she created on challenges on Splitcoaststamper, CCEEStampers, and Crazy for challenges.  Today we are honoring this sweet and creative woman with this blog hop. Below I have posted one of Joanne's creations. I always loved the dynamic looks of her black and white cards, her fabulous collection of silhouettes, and her great talent in the paper piercing catagory. So I used black and white for my card, a silhouetted group of wild flowers, and because I never mastered the art of paper piercing, I did kind of a faux piercing by dotting with black dots rather than punching through the paper.

                                                               Joanne's card

                                                                     My card

Your beautiful art is your legacy to us, Joanne, and we miss you dearly. Although you and I never met in person, we were kindred spirits with many of the same loves in life, and I am so blessed our paths crossed in this life and I look forward to seeing you face to face in the next life. Save me a space on stamping row in Glory Land.

The next card in the hop is Vicki Garrett
.
Here are all the others taking part in this tribute to our beloved Joanne. Stop by each blog to see just how much Joanne has inspired our talents and our love for this form of art:

Sunday Stamp challenge and The Paper Players challenge

I made this for two challenges. The sketch is for the Sunday Stamps and The Paper Players  had a little bingo going on their challenge.  The items from the Bingo card I went with were patterned paper, yellow, and birthday.  The cake stamp is from Unity and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up.
]

ATS176 - CAS summer

I stamped this clean and simple summery beach scene for the Addicted to Stamping Challenge for this week. I used an old Flourish set and water colored with Distress Oxide inks. My interpretation of CAS also means a one layer card that is easy and cheap to mail.

MIX335 and Retro Rubber challenge

I am entering this card in to the Splitcoaststampers' Mixed Media challenge today and also for this week's Retro Rubber challenge. This is an old Flourishes stamp that I thought I had lost and then I found it this week after a year of looking for it.  It is one of my favorites. I used chalk pastels for this card and Distress Oxide inks, versafine black for the image and the sentiment, and I painted the image with wet chalk pastels.  You can find the Retro Rubber challenge HERE.
