Inkspirational Challenge #244
http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/2021/07/challenge-244-spotsdots.html
The challenge today on the Inkspirational challenge was to use spots/dogs. So since this design paper supplied some spots or dots for me I added this Impression Obsession image that just came an order today. Always anxious to try out the new toys in my collection. I used some polka dotted design paper for the butterflies that were punched using a Martha Stewart punch. I colored my image with copic markers.

CCEE2129 National Hot Dog Day
Yesterday (7/21) was National Hot Dog Day, so include this national treasure on your card. If you don't have a hot dog image, you can use any kind of fast food item. Thanks, Lois for this terrific challenge.
I've had this little stamp in my collection for quite some time, but it had a hamburger. I drew a hot dog and glued it over the hamburger just for this challenge. I love the sketch challenge over on SCS this week , so I used that design for my layout.
Summer is passing so fast, but hope you are enjoying yours!!! Thanks for checking in on our challenge and hope you will check out all the team's samples over on the blogsite here::

Christmas in July
I am using this card for my Splitcoaststampers' MIX 441 challenge, and also for the DL Art #281 challenge with the theme Christmas in Julu. You can find the details of the DL Art challenge here:
https://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2021/07/dlart-thankful-thursday-challenge-281.html
Lots of fun things were used on this card: versamark ink for the embossing, lots of fun papers, paper punch, and I love this Tim Holtz paper Doll photo that just helps vintage and modern come together on these fun creations. I used a Santa hat sticker for her festive hat! The center of the snowflakes are sparkly enamel dots. The embossed image is from Unity Stamps.
Krafty Chicks #567 Christmas
Lots of challenges with Christmas in July themes and a perfect opportunity to get some Christmas cards done way ahead of schedule. This one I made for the Krafty Chicks #567 challenge that can be found here:
https://kraftychickschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/07/krafty-chicks-challenge-567-christmas.html
I used some great Christmas plaid paper and on the oval I used a poinsettia stamp from Unity. I colored it with Copic markers and then added the gold chrome paper "Joy" and I used a gold metallic pen to accent the centers of the flowers and the berries. I also used the metallic pen to draw a gold line on each side of the plaid to add a little additional accent.

Seize the Birthday by adding a little water
I am using this card for two challenges that I am taking part in today. One of the challenges is for the Seze the Birthday challenge to use an embossing folder, and the other is the Splitcoaststampers' Ways to Use challenge to use water on your card. So I decided to use a different way to use my embossing folder that might not done very often, but it is fun and easy. I embossed an interesting piece of design paper and then after embossing, I sanded the color off the paper to leave a white pattern from the embossing folder popping forth. Then for the SCS challenge I used Dina Kowal's Misty water color tutorial on SCS to use water in my printed image. I used Unity stamps for the image and the sentiment. I used melon mambo cardstock for the card base. Inside iis a birthday sentiment. Hope you like it:
