CCEE2242 Animated characters

Lynn McAuley here with the final CCEE Stampers Challenge for October.

Friday is International Animation Day. What joyful and action-packed entertainment has filled our lives through the talented creations of the world's amazing animators. In honor these animators' remarkable work, choose one of your favorite animated characters to feature on this week's CCEE design. How fabulous would it be if you included the name of the animator who created your character!

These are some of our Design Team's favorite characters.

I picked Walt Disney's Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I used a recently acquired stamp set and the cirlces were punched from an Echo Park design paper pad. I mounted this on black and then glued to a brilliant blue card base.

Little Red Wagon - Dots and stripes

I needed some quick and easy thank you cards. Grabbed some dotted and striped scraps from my scrap box and this gold chrome die to add quickly to it. I love these 5 minute cards.  It is on a navy cardstock base,

The details for the challenge for this Little Red Wagon challenge is here:

The die is from Gina Marie Designs.

Addicted to Stamps - dies and stencils

This stencil is from Rubbernecks and I used distress oxide inks to do the stenciling. The dies are from Sizzix and cute from silver chrome cardstock.  I am getting a head start on some of my Christmas cards. This was done on pink cardstock.

Art Impression Challenge - Let's hear it for the Boys

I love these little frogs and what boys don't love frogs??? So I made this card for the AI challenge this week. I love the expressions on these frog's faces and love using all this green. You can find these great challenges on the Art Impression website here:

I colored the image using copic markers. I added some scraps of green gingham and a few green gemstones just to make it more festive for a birthday celebration.

C.R.A.F.T. non-traditional Christmas colors

Trying to get a few early Christmas cards made ahead of time. This one I did for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge using non-traditional colors.

Check here for the details of the challenge:

I used a Sizzix die for the holly, and I used a 3-D embossing folder from Sizzix as well for the texture used for the card front. I colored this with distress oxide inks and copic markers. I added a ribbon and a die cut sentiment from Sizzix for the sentiment made of pink chrome cardstock.

Christmas in non-traditional colors

I have been having such fun this afternoon making a lot of cards with my Power Poppy digitals. This is a Christmas floral arrangement that I decided to color in non-traditional Christmas colors for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge this week. I used copic markers to do my coloring. The background was silver chrome paper embossed with a Sizzix 3-D embossing folder. I mounted it onto a rose pink card base. Since it is using this metallic, shiny paper I am also going to enter this card into the monthly challenge going over on the Power Poppy Blog.

Inspiration Station #40 - Harvest

The challenge over on Inspiration Station this week had the theme of harvest. I loved this digital image that I got this week from Power Poppy, It is perfect for this challenge. I stamped the background with an old Flourishes stamp set as was the sentiment. I colored the image with copic markers. I used a Gina Marie die for the circle. You can find the details for this challenge here:

Tic Tac Toe 184

Who doesn't love a quick game of Tic Tac Toe and combining crafting with it?? So I played along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge using the row: die, layers, and autumn colors. I made use of one of my newest digitals from Power Poppy. Before my Tuesday Morning closed, I had purchased this fabulous fall paper (and I have lots of it and it's double sided). I colored the image with copic markers and used a new die I found at my latest red tag sales at Hobby Lobby. Actually, I found this digital on sale at Power Poppy for 25% off. So all of these bargains made a wonderful fall card.

Passion for Markers Challenge 663

I am busy catching up on some of the challenges this week that I found on the site Challenges for Days. This is one my latest digitals I found on sale at Power Poppy this week. The nice thing about digitals are the automatic download and quick immediate ability to use it. I also like that you can size it to what you need on the card. I colored this with copic markers and am entering this in this week's Passion for Markers Challenge that can be found here for the details:

Power Poppy October Challenge

How fun to check things out over at Power Poppy and find some wonderful fall harvest digits for 25% off! So I picked up this one along with a few others. While I was there, I checked out what the challenge is for this month. So I added a little silver chrome paper to this and used my silver metallic pen to color this pedestal plate and the center of these delicate little flowers. October is my favorite month of the year and I adore the wonderful colors of fall. I used copic markers to color this image and used some wonderful fall leaf design paper as my background paper on the orange card base.

CCEE2240 Retiles

Thursday means it's time for a new CCEE Stampers Challenge. I am Lynn McAuley, and as this month's hostess I have chosen reptiles as the theme for today's challenge.

Friday, October 21 is National Reptile Day. I am asking the CCEE Stampers to be sure to feature on your cards the reptile of your choice: an alligator, a lizard, a turtle, a snake, a dinosaur! Or use them all! You choose!

There is lots of creeping and crawling and slithering going on here on the cards of the CCEE Design Team members' creations

Check out the team cards here: http://www.CCEEstampers.blogspot.com

I used some Rubbernecker Stamps on this card (the background, the alligator, and the flowers). The sentiment is hand written. I used distress oxide inks on the back ground.  The alligator is colored with copic markers.

CTD715 and harvest time

                                                                                 https://inspirationstationchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/10/inspiration-station-challenge-40-harvest.html

I love this Power Poppy digital for fall. I thought it would work for the Color Throwdown challenge so used their choice of colors, and also for the Inspiration Station harvest theme as well.

I water colored the image, and stamped the sentiment.

Double D challenge - orange and black

Following the color theme for the Double D challenge this week of orange and black, I designed this card using one of my older stamps (the pumpkin) and I added this cat stamp that is from Impression Obsessions. I die cut the letters for the sentiment. I sponged in the circle for the moon using the negative side of a cicle punch,  I used copic markers and a white colored pen to and the color on the pumpkin and cat.

You can find the details of the challenge here:

The Card Concept #182a

I made this card for the Splitcoaststampers' Sketch challenge #928 and the Card Concept challenge (182 a)  This is one of my newest stamps purchased from Unity. I love paper piecing as a technique and this comfort stuffed chair and pillow is just the perfect technique for it. The tree in the window is from Stampin' Up. I used copic markers to color the outdoor scene.

You can find the details for both of these challenges  at these sites:

CCEE2240-Happy Birthday to the US Navy

Welcome back to another week of challenges from the CCEE Stampers. I am Lynn McAuley, and I am serving as hostess for the month of October.

In the United States of America , October 13 is the day that the U.S. Navy celebrates as their birthday. To honor the men and women who have stepped up to serve our nation as members of the Navy since its inception, create a  card with a nautical theme.

Here are the wonderful samples from our talented design team created to honor past and present members of the Navy.

I used distress oxide inks for my stenciled background, using A Colorful Life stencil for my background. The images are all stickers from  Paper Studio, I didn't have any stamps that I thought fit this theme very well, so I went the quick and easy sticker route,

Art Impressions challenges - Buttons and Bows

This was such a fun challenge this week on the Art Impression Challenge of buttons and bows. I used some cute little button brads for my buttons to make it easier to mail, and this cute tied ribbon that coordinated with the colors from my design paper. I have reached the age where this sentiment expresses my feelings exactly.  I used colored pencils to color this image from the Birthday Wishes stamp set from Art Impressions.
You can find the details for this challenge here:

CCEE2239 - National Bring Your Bible to School Day

Lynn McAuley here to kick off a month of new challenges for the CCEE Stampers for October.

In the United States, today is National Bring Your Bible to School Day. For that reason, our challenge for this week is quite simple: use a Bible scripture as the sentiment on the front of your card design.

Here are the wonderful creations from our design team members and the wonderful scriptures they have chosen to use with their beautiful designs:

I used a stencil from A Colorful Life and distress oxide inks for my leaves. The sentiment is from an old Sweet and Sassy stamp (I think).
