Tuesday morning sketch 942

This card I made for the Tuesday Morning Sketch #942. The stamped image is from Sweet and Sassy. I used black and red cardstock and design paper on this card. I used a Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy sentiment strip for the sentiment. I used versafine clair black ink for the stamping and copic markers for the coloring.  You can find the details for this challenge here:

CCE2213 "No Housework Day"

 April 7, 2022 CCEE2213 –

Hi, Liz Williams here for the April challenges for CCEE.

Let’s celebrate “NO HOUSEWORK DAY” by spending the day in our stamp rooms celebrating by doing a “Free for All” card theme of your choice. Have fun!!

Check out all these great ideas our design team has created for this challenge over on the blog site:

I promise I did not make this up, but it sounds like a day I really can celebrate. Any excuse to be in the stamproom is a great day for me!! Today I made this card and getting to play with some new stamps that just arrived in the mail yesterday from Sweet and Sassy! So here is the card I made with two of my new stamp sets and an old Sunflower stamp that is ancient. I watercolored some of the background stamping with the same blue distressed oxide ink with which I had stamped the image. That takes a little more time but water coloring is very relaxing for me.

  Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here with another fun challenge for you all.

Did you know that the 14th March Is Learn About Butterflies Day. Include at least one butterfly on your card this week.

Let's take a look at what our Design Team created for this challenge.

I stenciled the background with various shades of yellow distress oxide inks using a plaid stencil from Artplorations. I die cute the Spellbinder leaves, punched the flowers. The butterfly is a Bo Bunny stamp. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.

Make My Monday 119

This is for the Make my Monday Challenge that was to create your own background. I love making collage backgrounds with my distress oxide inks from Tim Holtz. My main focus on my card making this month has been to do cards of encouragement to send out to people who might be getting a little stressed about the quarantine with less social opportunities. Spreading a little cheer anyway I can.
Here is where you can find this challenge:

http://mmmchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2020/03/challenge119-make-your-own-background.html

I used a few of my older Stampin' Up stamps in the background, and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.

God is with You

I made this card for the Double D Welcome Spring challenge today. The image is a digital from Power Poppy, and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy. I also went though my scraps and found this dp which I think looked good with these colors I had used for the rose. I used copic markers to color my image. To get the lighter sheen on the rose and buds I used a white galaxy marker.

You can find the Double D challenge here:

So honored that this card was selected as one of the top 3 last week on the Welcome Spring challenge at Double D.

C4C526 White on white

I just love how embossing looks on white paper, and this is one of my favorite all time embossing folders from Spellbinder. I added diecut white leaves, these white paper flowers, and a sentiment (from Sweet and Sassy). It looks more complicated that it is to make and I look forward to making a few more like this. I have found it a really fun thing during this time of social distancing to look up some fun stamping challenges to take part in this week. Encouragement cards, sympathy cards, and thinking of you cards are my most needed in my stash of cards, so most of these will have that was the theme when I don't have to follow a specific type of card for the challenge. This white on white challenge can be used for whatever kind of card one might need. Check out this great challenge over at HERE.
