Make My Monday 119

This is for the Make my Monday Challenge that was to create your own background. I love making collage backgrounds with my distress oxide inks from Tim Holtz. My main focus on my card making this month has been to do cards of encouragement to send out to people who might be getting a little stressed about the quarantine with less social opportunities. Spreading a little cheer anyway I can.

I used a few of my older Stampin' Up stamps in the background, and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.

No focal Mexican tile

This was a fun challenge that I completed on Sunday for the Virtual stamp night challenges going on at Splitcoaststampers. When I was looking through the Sunday challenges on Challenges for Days I found this International Art and Soul : http://intaas.blogspot.com/2020/03/ch80-no-focal-image.html
for a card without a focal point. This seem to be perfect for that challenge too.

The stamp was a bargain I found at Tuesday Morning and is probably the newest stamp I have in my collection. It is made by Momenta.  I hadn't even inked it up yet. So I inked it with Versafine black and then I colored all the flowers with copic markers. I cut the background panel into these one inch squares and then I covered it with Nuvo crystal drops.

Fun five minute card

Here is a quick and easy card. I love how much stenciling can add some quick color to a 5 minute card. I used distress oxide ink for the stenciling. Using this for the AAA cards CAS  challenge this week. You can find it :

Tulips and Spring and Quarantined

Since I have been taking part in the Virtual stamp nights going on over at Splitcoaststampers, I made this card for one of the challenges to use tulips. Then when I checked on the challenge for
 Just US Girls photo challenge, again it was tulips. So here is my card for both of these challenges.

Hope everyone is safe and well during our quarantine time. I have spent my time stamping and it has lifted my spirits.  Mailing out cards to friends might be what I can do to bring them a little surprise and love.

This embossing plate is from Spellbinders, the digital image is from Power Poppy! I colored it with copic markers.

CCEE2013 Caffeine Awareness Day

        Hi Crafting Friends
It is Maryann here with her last challenge for the month.  These are  trying times we could all do with a strong cup of coffee.

To celebrate Caffeine Awareness day I have asked that we create a coffee themed card.
I used a Unity stamp for my coffee cup and dies for my sentiment. I wove some paper scraps together for my background.

Tuesday Morning Sketch 547

I have been doing fun challenges all day. Here's another one I tried this evening. It is the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge that can be found HERE. I am always needing sympathy cards for the care team I am on at my church, and this sketch just seemed perfect.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up and I punched out the little leaves and flowers. I used gold metallic pen to make dots up the side and around the tag. 

M2520 Anything goes challenge

I made this card for the House that Stamps Built's anythng goes challenge this week.  This is a Repeat Impression stamp, and the sentiment is Verve (perhaps). I used distress oxide ink smash for the background and a little stenciling for background too. I used a Stampin' Up circle stamp for the sun.
I have been doing lots of stamping today while I have been quarantined.  I will be donating many of my cards to my church's care ministry this month so we can send these out to uplift the spirits of our elderly who might be feeling very isolated during these difficult days.
