Just Us Girls #741 - stenciling

https://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/08/just-us-girls-741-anything-goes-stencil.html

I made this card for the Just Us Girls challenge this week to use stenciling. The stencil I used is from Gina K. I die cut the trees from silver chrome paper. I am not sure of the source for the sentiment and the reindeer.  You can find the details for the challenge here:

AI challenge - Keep Calm and celebrate

I love this old guy relaxing, and cut this out with part of a circle die so that it would be attached in the bottom side and corner make a pocket for a gift card. The image and sentiment are from AI and the stencil I used for the background is from A Colorful Life. I thought this would make a quick and easy gift for a friend who is retiring.  The image is colored with copic markers and the stenciling is done with distress oxide inks.
I made it for the Art Impressions bi-weekly challenge:

Krafty Chicks #728 Christmas

I made this card for the Krafty Chicks Christmas Challenge this week #728. I went through all of my Christmas paper scraps and cut them into half inch stripes and made some background panels with them some time ago, Now when I need a Christmas card, I grab one from the premade panels and make them into a Christmas card. I added this panel to a black and red background and added die cut fir trees and a deer to the front of the scrappy panel. Then I added the die cut Noel.

Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge

I reached way back into my design paper stash to part with this favorite piece from my Basic Grey collection. I loved the colors that seemed so summery and bright and then used two butterflies from my old collection of Our Daily Bread designs which became Divinity stamps. I have forgotten the source for the sentiment stamp I used on this. I failed to write it down on my filing system.   You can find the details for this challenge here:

Can You Handle the pressure - things with wheels

For this card I embossed this piece of design paper with a 3_D Sizzix embossing folder on the upper portion of this paper and then inked it with light green  distressed oxide ink. I added thee die cut leaves and punched flowers as well as the die cut sentiment. I used a light green triangular matt on a rust colored card base. The design paper had the image of the bicycle and green glittered parts.

Inkspirational Challenge #322

Jingle Belle challenge - Holiday Left Overs

I used scraps of holiday design papers that I have had left from years past. It is so fun to put these patchwork backgrounds together for backgrounds. The silhouette die is from Spellbinders, I added a gold chrome cardstock for a mat, and a black cardstock card base. The poinsettias are layered paper stickers (left over from last Christmas).
I love taking part in the Jingle Belle challenges every week because it helps me generate  my holiday cards during the year instead of trying to be creative when you are on a time crunch. You can check out the details and the linky here:

AI challenge #384 - Never have I ever

What a fabulous challenge that motivated me to go through all of my AI collection to see if there was any I had never used. Lo, and behold, this cute set was still in its original packaging. I thought it would be such a fun one to use paper piecing on with patterned papers. I really love how it turned out. The coloring was done with copic markers.

There is still time to get your entry in over at the AI blogsite:

HMFMC #421

This is the first time I have used this stamp, which I have had in my collection for quite sometime. It just fit this challenge so well and it was fun putting together a coordinating layout for this image. The image is stamped with Versafine clair black ink, and colored with alcohol markers. The die is from Impression Obsessions and the flowers are from a Stampin' up punch and the smaller flower and leave are Martha Stewart punches. The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy text tablet.
