Twofer #29 Butterflies

This butterfly has been in my collection a while. It is from Our Daily bread Designs which have changed their name since then. I used some Unity stamps with it on the purple card, which is a thank you card. For the green one, which is a get well card, I used some stamps from some retired Stampin' Up sets, from which I keep handy for making these kinds of backgrounds.  I am not sure who makes this sentiment as I made it with some of my sister's stamps. I didn't write it down. I've only seen my sister once since the quarantine as she lives 100 miles away from me. We do love stamping together when we get some of those special times together.   I used my favorite TH distress oxide inks for my backgrounds, versafine black for the sentiments and images, and copic markers for coloring the butterflies.

I was delighted to find this Twofer stamp challenge over on challenges for days. This is must my second month to participate on a challenge but I really like that part of the requirement in the challenge is to use two different types of cards using one similar stamp or die cut for both.  I didn't quite follow the requirement last time since I used the same embossing folder, but that wasn't one the list. So, I hope I am doing better this time. You can find all the details for the challenges here on their site:

  2. You certainly did, Liz! Your choice of butterfly is a very pretty one and your coloring and backgrounds for both cards are just gorgeous! They represent both the green leafy feel of spring and the warm floral feel of summer! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #29! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Gorgeous cards, Liz! Your butterflies look like they could have flown right out of my flower beds. The backgrounds you've created for each is really lovely, and your coloring of all those butterflies is wonderful. Two great cards! Love them! Thank you so much for joining us at The Twofer Challenge! P.S. My sister and I love to craft together too - this virus makes that really hard!

  4. Yep, spot on, Liz ... a lovely duo! Your beautifully coloured butterflies look as though they're in their natural environments ... whether as a flurry on your get well card ... or in solo form on your thank you card ... the dimension is delicious! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
