Anne is hosting for this last challenge of February. She asked us to make a pocket card, using any type we would like. Here is what I came up with:
This is how the card looks with the inside panel inserted into the card.
This shows the inside sentiment pulled out. I used thyme paper, white, and design paper. The stamps are from Hero Arts and Verve. I used distressed oxide ink gathered twigs and copic markers for coloring the rose. I embossed the front pocket with a Darice folder, and the die is from Crafter's companion.

Paper Player 479
Using the colors for the Splitcoast Stampers color challenge and the sketch for the Paper Players sketch challenge this week, I used this fabulous digital from Power Poppy. The background panels are made with inked embossing folders. I used distress oxide inks as the water colors and Rich Razzleberry SU pad as well.

Take a leap of faith
This past weekend I served on a Jubilee Prison Ministry team that went into one of the Texas Criminal Justice facilities to bring so light and hope to 36 of the women incarcerated there. The leader of the weekend is a member of my church and she had recruited many ladies from our church who had not served in this way. It look that leap of faith to trust God and say yes to this call. I was honored to served alongside of two of them at my table and I think I will be sending them this little card to thank them for their time and talents they gave to these women over the last 3 days.
Since making cards are part of my daily therapy, I love doing challenges that I find on line to do and this one on Splitcoast Stampers and this one http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/ inspired me to make this card. I will be making a few to send to these ladies who served for the first time on this team.

This card is for a friend who celebrates her birthday next week. I also made this for the Color Throwdown challenge and the Ways to use challenge on SCS. Got to use a new leaf die that I got recently purchased.

CCEE2007 masculine non-Valentine
This is Anne again, with my next challenge. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day (also my DH's birthday!). Make a masculine valentine in non-traditional colors (no RED or pink).
I let design papers do most of the work on this card. Then I stamped the sailboat image and the sentiment directly onto the design paper. The die is cut from some Graphics 45 paper. I used a black card base.

CCEE2006 white embossing on kraft
It's a brand new month. Anne Harmon is our hostess for the month of February with challenges for our team.
White embossing is beautiful on neutral colors. Anne's challenge is to use white embossing on a card, using Kraft, or any other shade of brown.
This has become one of my favorite combos for embossing. For this card I used an old Stampin' Up background stamp, inked it with versamark ink, and covered it with white embossing powder. Then I used distress oxide ink trying to match the kraft color for the sentiment, which is from Gina K designs.. I failed to read that the card was to be done in only kraft and browns, so I had added touches of red. I know that is one of Anne's favorite colors, so maybe she will be forgiving.

MOJO530
Starting the morning off right by doing a few of my favorite challenges. So, this is for the MOJO sketch challenge. I love putting unlikely design papers together and this was a fun sketch to do that. Here's my card:
The image is a Power Poppy digital. The papers are from various sources. I colored the image with copic markers. I will probably use this as a Valentine or birthday card.
