2020 a year that's been all elfed up!

 

I did this card for the Inspiration challenge on SCS and for the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers. On the inside of the card it says "...a year that has been all "elfed" up."  Check out both of these challenges :

I can't figure out which of my friends will like this card the best. I stenciled the background with candied apple distress oxide ink, used the top part of a Tim Holtz ice cream cone stamp, and the feet of some elves from a Stampendous stamp set. This was just so fun!!  I die cut the numbers and wrote my sentiment inside free handed..

This was a fun way to use up some of those great Christmas design paper scraps. The gold chrome scraps (one of which was the negative side from a die cut I made) added the sparkle as did the row of glittered stars on the top row of stripes. The holly design is a digital from Power Poppy. I colored it with copic markers. 

Here's wishing you a safe and merry Christmas and that 2021 brings an end to this horrible pandemic. 

Festive Friday Challenge #0074

 I made this card for the Festive Friday Challenge today. I was to pick 3 things from the list that is found on this: 

So, I used holly, red, green, and peace. I embossed the white background, stamped the dove with versamark ink, added silver embossing powder, then die cut the dove, holly, and peace. I also added some die cut evergreen behind my dove. The final embellishment were the tiny metal sets that were silver that I colored red with my copic marker so it would look like little red berries on the cyress branches. This stamp and die set is from Sizzix.

CCEE2050 - The Glow of Christmas

 Lynn McAuley here with the final CCEE Stampers challenge for 2020, which has been a bleak and dark time for us all. For the CCEE2050 challenge, I am asking that your cards reflect a seasonal light of hope and promise for a brighter new year. It can be represented by a candle, the lights on a Christmas tree, the star of Bethlehem, or any other light that comes to mind.

This is our final challenge for 2020. Thank you to our faithful followers for your visits and entries in 2020. Following our Christmas break, we will be starting a new year of fun challenges on January 7. 

I used an old favorite stamp of mine from Hero Arts with this little singer in the lantern light singing her heart out with praises to God. Since singing in groups is still being discouraged because of the COVID virus, here is hoping that next year we will not be having to sing alone any more. I pray some great choirs will fill the churches when we can all return to worshiping in person.

I used a very old Stampin' Up set for this little pilgrim girl. I stamped her three times because she is wearing an apron. So all these little pilgrim girls are ushering in my favorite part of the Thanksgiving feast.....the pies...apple, pecan, pumpkin, buttermilk, peach, sweet potato....just to name a few! Since the theme is tie, I decided to wrap this embroidery thread around the front of my card, and add a little tag. This is a 6 by 6 card that I plan to send to one of one group of my grandkids who we will not be seeing this  Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a safe and distanced holiday. Please pray for the healing of our nation and this virus that has spread over the globe. 

HMFMC #329

 I know the old poem "The Night before Christmas" speaks of not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. Well, that is not the case with this little festive trio all fired up with their holiday songs to share in the merriment of the season. This is my newest of House Mouse stamps for me, and I play a guitar, so I just had to have this musical trio. With a Christmas twist on this week's HMFMC, I wanted to enter it in the challenge. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
