Color Throwdown Challenge 619

The colors this week for the Color Throwdown Challenge are red, light blue, and silver. I made the background with TH alcohol inks and then I used distress oxide ink for the stenciling. The stencil is from Gina K. I punched out a silver chrome cs snowflake with a large Martha Stewart snowflake punch. I then added red and silver gemstones. The sentiment is stamped in versafine black using a retired SU stamp in my Christmas collection. This is mounted on white cardstock although it looks pink in this photo.  You can find the challenge here:

CCEE2046 Letter to Santa

Hi everyone -
 welcome to another challenge!
Kelly here for the month of November ~
and the second week in November is Dear Santa Letter Week!

Let's make a card featuring a letter to Santa.
If you use a gallery, please use the code CCEE2046 or the linky that is found on the CCEEStampers blogsite found https://cceestampers.blogspot.com/2020/11/ccee2046-letter-to-santa.html
While you are there checkout the team cards for this week. You will find some cute ones.

I love the AI girls and this old gal just wants a clearer definition of what Santa means by GOOD before she completes her letter to Santa.  The sentiment is from Studio g.  I used some cute Santa printed design paper from My Mind's Eye! I colored the image with copic markers and used a silver metallic pen for the belt buckle, bells, and earrings. Just to add  a little sparkle I used these little holly stickers.

Come for Coffee

I am just so excited that the 2020 Fall/ Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is happening this week, that I just had to make another card. This time I used a digital from StampLorations that was so fun to color. I embossed my background cardstock and then rubbed some antique linen Distress Oxide ink over it, and die cut a lacy edge to put at the top and bottom of the card. I added diecut words for my sentiment.  The image was colored with Copic markers.

Hope you get by to check out all the fun going on here:

2020 Fall/winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's coffee time and time for this fun blog hop going on here:

I have so many wonderful coffee related stamps and I have just over the last year become a coffee drinker myself. I always loved the smell of coffee but now with all the fancy flavoring in coffees I decided I liked the taste of coffee too!! I used this cute stamp from Unity and Unity sentiment as well for this card. I have a box of cards that the background layouts are already made from using up scraps from other projects. I like to make them as I clean up after a day of card making so I can use up those still great pieces so that my scrap piles don't get any higher. I looked through my box and found this one which reminded me of rich colors and coffee has such rich flavors and also it featured that strip of brown. I stamped the image with versafine black. I colored the image with Copic markers, and did a little fussy cutting and completed the card.

That first cup in the morning is usually all I need for the day, but I know when the weather turns colder I will drink it more throughout the day.

Make sure you go check out this fabulous hop and the super sponsors that are making it possible and providing prizes. You won't want to miss it this week.

CCEEE2045-National Men Make dinner day

 Hi friends!

Kelly here from the design team to welcome you to the November challenges.

November 1st is National Men Make Dinner Day!

Although both can make the evening meal and some men like to cook on a regular basis,

for this challenge, we're just having fun with creating card with men chefs!

Create a card with a male chef, a man cooking, men with an apron, etc!

Use the keyword CCEE2045 if you post to your blog or a gallery.

This sentiment that says, "Cooking is love made visible." was  a part of this design paper pad so I used it. The stamped image is from Artistic Impression, and the grill is from Spellbinder.  This guy is taking it easy while his coals get just like he likes them.

Come for Coffee

I made this card for the stencil challenge over at Stamplorations. I used a stencil I purchased from Stamplorations and also the digital image was theirs as well. It die I used is a Spellbinder set.  I used distress oxide inks for the stenciling, and copic markers for coloring the image. I thought this would make a cute way to invite someone over for a cup of coffee.

Poinsettia and Pomegranates - Power Poppy

For this month's challenge over at Power Poppy we are asked to use embossing wet or dry. I did something a little different on this one. For the background I applied versamark ink into the open spaces of a stencil. I then added white embossing powder to do a little embossing resist for the background. I used candied apple red from Distress Oxide inks, and then I stenciled the script in Lucky Clover Distress oxide ink. I colored my digital image from Power Poppy with a combination of colored pencils and copic markers. I added sparkle pen on the snowdrops, and gold metallic pen dots on the vase. The digital image I cut out and glued over the background stenciling.
