Paper Funday for July - stenciling #78

I used some soft colors of oxide distressed inks for my colors doing the stenciling. This stencil is from A Colorful Life. The flowers were punched using 2 Martha Stewart punches. I stamped happy birthday and added a few sequins as some embellishments. I mounted it on a light apricot cardstock base.  I have a lot of of August birthdays to send out this month, so this will make a great addition to my stash.

Krafty Chicks #779 anything goes

I had to make a birthday card for a friend, so decided to share it here for this challenge. The background I used left over scraps of design paper. The image I used is from Unity Stamps, as is the sentiment. I colored the image with alcohol makers. I fussy cut the birthday girl. You can find the details for this challenge as well as their linky here:

Time Out #294

I used a foiled design paper for the background and using A Colorful Life stencil I traced these rainbows with alcohol markers. The open book is a die from Spellbinders,  The bird is a Martha Stewart punch, anad the sentiment is from Unity stamps. I mounted this on a striped design paper and then attached to an aqua card base.

I used an open book die for the book, I stenciled the rainbow and technically I used 3 things from the list  as I used a striped paper for the framing paper and the rainbow includes stripes.

Alphabet Challenge H is for home

This is a pad of Paper Studio paper that includes cowgirls and "howdy" on it and so perfect if you are from Texas and have never lived anywhere else. It seem to say "home" to me. Since Houston starts with H and is often referred to as H-town, I decided to make it on my map of Texas. I have lived just outside of Houston for over 20 years now. The boot die I got from Impression Obsessions before they went out of business. I really miss them. The sentiment is computer generated and not sure who to credit the quote but I have heard it used so very often. The  Texas paper punch I bought years ago in Austin.

The Paper Players - things with wheels 747

I tore some design paper into two strips. Added it to a white card. I stamped this travel trailer stamp from Unity onto design paper, Fussy cut and glued to the same image stamped onto white paper. Left lots of white!! Sentiment and image are stamped with versafine clair black ink.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 - a great success!

I used some pre-cut dies that I had cut months ago so this was a quick and easy card. I sure enjoyed taking part in the Linky Party for 2025 at {BYSHC}. Thanks for making it so enjoyable and thanks for all the hard work that goes into putting it all on. Thanks too for all the nice comments that were left on my entries.

{BYSHC} 2025 Linky Party ice skates

These ice skates are from Spellbinder and are another die I had cut and pieced months ago to make my cardmaking go a little faster for Christmas this year. It's paying off. The background paper is design paper striped paper and I mounted on  a red cardbase.

{BYSHC} Linky Party 2025 - Christmas wreath

I used two design papers for this card. I think the die cut for the wreath and bow are Sizzix, and the white poinsettia and leaves is from Momenta. I used a brown card base. Many of these die cuts I had made ahead of time and pieced together, which is a real time saver. Hope you have been able to visit the {BYSHC} blog to see all the lovely cards that have been shared.

{BYSHC} Linky Party 2025 Final day

The challenge was to use cling wrap to add the ink today on the F4A challenge over at Splitcoaststamps. I also am adding this to my collection of cards I have made for the {BYSHC} Linky Party that has been happening all week (see link). Today is the last day!!
I used distress oxide inks for this and a 3-D Sizzix embossing folder. I applied the ink with cling wrap wadded up. The stamp is from Unity and I fussy cut the ornaments to separate them so I could place them on the tree branches.  I mounted it on lilac cardstock for my cardbase.

{BYSHC} Linky party 2025 - wise men

What an enjoyable week it has been seeing all the fabulous cards shared over on the Linky Party for {BYSHC} Christmas in July event! I plan to get a few more made today and have been pleased with my cards I have added to my Christmas stash this week. This card was made with a Colorful Life stencil and distressed oxide ink. The stamped image is from Creative Worship Stamps as is the sentiment that accompanies that set. I stamped using versafine clair black. I added silver sequins, and silver stars as my embellishments.

I used the {BYSHC} sketch #49 as my inspiration for this card.

BYSHC Linky party 2025 - Getting Comfy

I used one of my favorite Unity stamps for paper piecing for this card. That big comfortable looking chair seemed like a good way to wish someone a cozy Christmas. I stamped the image in versafine clair black ink onto a piece of plaid design paper. I then fussy cut it and fussy cut the stockings from some other Christmas design paper. The sentiment stamp are from Creative Worship Stamps. I used a foiled piece of design paper for the card background. I mounted it onto a mossy green card base.

BYSHC Linky Party Christmas in July 2025

I made a stenciled background using a stencil from Creative Worship stamps, using green distressed oxide inks. The sentiment is also from Creative Worship stamps and was stamped with versafine clair black ink. The card bling is from A Colorful Life. I framed it with some design paper and then used a green card base.  How fun it is to be creative and having the time to make Christmas cards without a time crunch. Come November I will be so glad I got so many of my cards made ahead.

BYSHC Linky Party 2025 - stenciling a poinsettia

I used a Colorful Life Stencil for my poinsettia, and the sentiment is a stamp from Creative Worship Stamps. The card bling is also from A Colorful Life. The stenciling was blended with red and green distress oxide inks. The stamping was done in versafine clair black ink.  I mounted it on a 6 by 6 red card base.

Color Throw Down #837

Here is my card for the current Color Throw Down challenge #837. I embossed my yellow card base with a 3-D Sizzix embossing folder. The stamped image is from Gina K designs. I colored the leaves with a gray copic marker. The die cut flowers were glued over the flowers of the image. The image was stamped in Versafine clair black ink as was the sentiment, which is from Creative Worship stamps.

Stencil Fun - Patriotic cup

This is for the July Stencil Fun Challenge to use your flag's color. I am from the USA and Texas, so the good ole red, white, and blue is my color scheme. You can find the link and the details for the challenge can be found here:

https://stencilfun.blogspot.com/2025/07/july-2025-stencil-fun-challenge.html

Since it also is featuring a beverage, I am going to enter it in the First Cup Challenge #4 for July. That challenge information can be found here:

The stenciling was done with distress oxide inks using 2 A Colorful Life stencils. The beverage cup is a stamp from Unity. It is stamped with versafine clair black ink as is the sentiment (a stamp from Creative Worship stamps). For the cup I used alcohol markers for the coloring. My embellishment are rows of tiny gemstones.

Stenciling and flowers

I made use of 2 different stencils for this card : the circle stencil from Simon Hurley, the flower stencil from Stamplorations.  I made use of various colors of Distressed Oxide inks for the stenciling. The flower were die cut and the leaves are paper punched. I am entering this card in these two challenges:
Try It on Tuesday for Summer blooms and the details are found here:

and also the Paper Funday monthly challenge with the theme being stenciling and the details for this challenge are here:

Alphabet Challenge - G is for girl friend

G is for girl friends for the Alphabet challenge this round.  So I got out this cute stamp set from Art Impressions that included the die. These little gulls are playing on the word "girl" in this set, and I thought it was pretty cute that gulls start with G also. I just happen to pick this blue and white gingham not even thinking that gingham starts with G as well. I stamped the image and sentiment in versafine clair black and did the coloring with alcohol markers.  You can find the details and link for this challenge here:

MHFMC#444 - bright colors

I made this card for the use bright colors challenge over at HMFMC #444. This little guy  doesn't look like he wants to be disturbed so I used this little sentiment from Tim Holt's sentiment strips tablet I have . I used versafine clair black ink to stamp the image and I colored it with colored markers. I loved this brightly striped piece of design paper I found in my stash. I accented it with some strips of bright green and yellow paper. I added a few sequins for embellishment and a little sparkle.

You can find the link and details for this challenge here:

Make My Monday Challenge - embossing

I used design paper for the background, I embossed it and then rubber light gray distressed oxide ink over the top of it to pick up the patter. the embossing made. t did not show has definitely as I had wished it would. I then fussy cut these two flowers from another piece of design paper. I embossed the smaller one with a 3-D embossing folder from Sizzix. I liked how it turned out looking like a zinnia. I die cut the black leaves. I stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and covered with copper embossing powder and heat. So I used both wet and dry embossing on this card. The sentiment is from Unity. I mounted this card front onto a black card base.

You can find the details for this challenge here:

Krafty Chicks - Christmas #776

I appreciate Krafty Chicks always including a Christmas challenge each month on their challenge schedule. I like getting some Christmas cards done during the year to get a stash already ready. This is a fun one that I used scraps from left over Christmas design papers from other project as part of the background for this card. I die cut the mug using design paper as well. The sentiment is from Creative Worship stamps and stamped in versafine clair black ink. The mg die is from Momenta, and the holly die is from Sizzix. I die cut the holly in white paper and colored with alcohol markers.
You can find the details of the challenge here:

Festive Friday Challenge National Ice Cream Day 188

How fun that there is a National Ice Cream Day!! So Festive Friday honors it this week with a challenge. From their list of things that might be included I picked pink, embossing, and an ice cream cone The embossing folder reminded me of the waffle pattern on the cone and the dotted paper reminded me of sprinkles.  The cone die cut is from Spellbinders. You can find the details for the challenge here:

Jingle Belle challenge - Poinsettia Perfection

Here is my entry for the Jingle Belle challenge Poinsettia Perfection. I used this border die that had a poinsettia on it. I cut it twice so that I could double up the petals on the poinsettia so it stood out more. I colored the stems, leaves, berries, and pinecones with alcohol markers. The die is from Momenta.  I used a clear, glittery dome for the poinsettia center. I stashed this embossed border in white from recycle pile. I used it for the bottom portion of my card and found some design paper that said Merry Christmas all over it for the top portion background.
You can find the details of this challenge and its link here:

Time Out Challenge #292 - Travel

I made this card for the travel theme going on over at the Time Out challenge #292. I thought this image and sentiment from Unity was just perfect for this challenge. I found this really cool piece of design paper in my stash with travel words in the background. Love that the paper included some of the words done in turquoise foil. So I added a matching turquoise card base. You can find the details and link for this challenge here:

Art Nudge challenge 725B

I used the colors on the Art Nudge 725B challenge. I used some of my scraps from my scrap pile for the background that matched up to these colors. I stamped this image from Unity and used alcohol markers that matched up well with my background colors. The sentiment strip is from Tim Holtz. Loved my results and thought they made a lovely card from my scraps.
