As You See it 331

This is for the As You See it challenge 331. This was a fast fruit card. As a former kindergarten teacher, I am a very fast colorer. I used an old retired stamp set from Flourishes (which is no longer in business) but the artist of this stamp is Marcella Hawley (of Power Poppy fame). I die cut the image and simly glued it to a design paper I found in my scrap box. Then I mounted it to a white cardstock base. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the design paper.

Festive Friday - harvest 167

Harvest is the theme of the Festive Friday challenge this week. I chose to use gingham, fruit, and twine for my three choices. The peaches are a wonderful stamp from the now defunct Flourishes, LTD. The designer is Marcella Hawley, one of my favorite of botanical art. I colored the peaches with alcohol ink pens and highlighted with white pencil. The gingham paper is from Paper Studio and the card base is kraft cardstock.

My Time to Craft 542

The challenge this week at My Time to Craft was to ad texture. I stamped a retired Stampin; Up background stamp onto design paper with versafine clair black ink, then I embossed the paper with a 3-D  embossing folder from Sizzix. I inked over the embossing with brown distress oxide ink. I die cut leaves from  guave cardstock and kraft. I punched flowers from gold chrome cardstock. The centers of the flowers are glued on jewels. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh. You can find the details and linky for this challenge here:

AI design challenge #386

Who does not enjoy a girl's trip with your favorite peeps?? I love this image from AI and thought it worked really well with this challenge. I stenciled a brick street on the map deign paper. The image is colored with copic markers and I added some Nuvo clear glaze to the card to give it a shiny look.

The sunflower stamp is from Unity and the sentiment is from Impression Obsessions. The image was colored with copic markers. The sentiment and image was stamped with versafine clair black ink. The card front was mounted onto blue cardstock.

Sisterhood of crafters - HUGS

I made this card for this week's challenge on The Sisterhood of Crafters and the theme is HUGS. I thought immediately of this stamp I have from Unity in my stamp collection. I stamped it in Versafine Calir black ink and colored it with copic markers. I stenciled a little on the background using a stencil from A Colorful Life designs done on some design paper. I used some other design paper scraps for the background as well. I stenciled with distress oxide inks from Tim Holtz.
