 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances Byrne here again with one last challenge for the month of August.

Today is Dog Day! For our challenge today, include an image of a dog on your card.

Let's take a look at the cards our Design Team created this week ...

I am doubling up on the fun this week and made both of these cards for this challenge.. 

One is stamped and watercolored, and one is stenciled, stamped, and added another one of those cute Tim Holtz paper doll photos. The sentiment stamps are from Fiskars.

Little Red Wagon #616 Stenciling

 I did this card for the sketch challenge over on Splitcoaststampers today, and also am adding it to he Little Red Wagon challenge today too for the stenciling.  I stenciled this with a Gina Marie stencil using a makeup brush for blending the distressed oxide ink. I stamped the images with Versafine black, and the stamps are from Unity. I love this lacy die from Sizzix so used it as my only embellishment.  I really need to replenish my sympathy cards since I make a great deal of them for our Care Team at my church.  You can find the details of the Little Red Wagon challenge here:

CCEE2133 - Photography Day

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here again this week and she has another fun challenge for us all.

 Apparently today is Photography Day. For our challenge this week include something on your card that is photographic related … a photo/photos; images of photos, cameras etc. 

Now let's take a look at what our Design Team created for this challenge.

Using distressed oxide ink, I stamped my background using an Impression Obsessions. Using a darker green distress oxide ink, I used  background stamp from Stampabilites. Then the darker green dots were stenciled on with a stencil from A Colorful Life. I stamped the sentiment in versafine black. I added one off Tim Holtz's vintage photo paper dolls for my photo image. The flower is a die from Impression Obsessions, I added a few small punched white flowers and used pearls for all the flower centers.

Today is Vinyl Record Day! For many, Vinyl Records are a thing of the past. But in recent years they have started to make a big comeback with even new albums being released. For our challenge this week it's all about music … bonus points if you included an image of a vinyl record on your card.

I used some musical score design paper and a die that was from my sister, Lynn's collection. I had to make a quick card this week so it came in handy to have it on hand.

I used this adorable stamp from Polkadooddles,  added wings with punched gold hearts. Did a little embossing and stenciling for the background. Added a few gold sequins for sparkle.  I call her my "mojo magic" fairy and she is always welcome in my stamproom!! 

 

Time Out challenge 193 a single rose

 When I saw this Leo Buscaglia's quote the basis for this week's Time Out challenge, I just had to take part. This is one of my old favorites from a Flourishes' stamp set designed by Marcella Hawley. I watercolored it after it had been stamped onto watercolor paper. I mounted it to a deep red card base.

CCEE2131 International Beer day

  Hi Crafty Friends,

It's a brand new month, so that means a new challenge hostess which this time around is Frances Byrne.

Apparently tomorrow 6th August is International Beer Day, for our challenge today include something beer or wine related on your card.

Found these great papers in my stash that had spots and dots. I love this oldie but goodie House Mouse stamp so perfect for the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. This sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Idealogy pad and just seem to fit this little napping mouse.
