CCEE1916

Welcome, stampers! I am Lynn McAuley and have the honor of being the April Challenge Hostess here at CCEE Stampers.

In the United States, April is the National Month of Hope. This week I challenge you to create a card with a sentiment of encouragement to send to a friend who is in need of a spark of love and hope in their lives. Sometimes the smallest gesture can light that spark.

Thanks for checking in on the challenge today. We hope you choose to play along. Please link your design below using Mr. Linky. If you are posting to an online gallery instead of your blog, please include keyword CCEE1916 in your card description.

I inked a Darice embossing folder and spritzed it with water and then smashed the paper between the folder to get this print. I used Distress Oxide inks on the folder. The image and sentiment is from Unity. I colored the image with alcohol markers.  The words reflect a new start each day, which is a promise of hope we have each day. I have a friend that has had a rough go with her health lately, and will soon be retiring. I hope these words of encouragement will lift her spirits.
